Really poor today. Matters very little at this point, the 3 points were everything. Need to step it up against The Rags though, fuck me do we need to. Newcastle away is a horrible prospect and we'll need to absolutely be at our best to win there. 3 games from glory. 3.

I'm more worried about Newcastle than the rags to be honest.

A loss before a derby often helps (remember Wigan away before 9/11/02?), so a poor performance with three points under these circumstances is ideal IMO.
They can't lift that trophy in our home.
We are in control.
They are on the wobble.

Mancio, I've read Carl for years , even when he could only write in Capital letters. His sense of Humour is wicked

As a footnote :

I wonder if the Mancini out thread will be updated tonight ?

Great result, clean sheet, functional performance and no apparent injuries/knocks. Well done city, now focus on beating the scum.

Comfortable victory today but we didn't look like champions for a fair part of it. 'They' have barely looked like champions all season though so it's all on.

I don't think there will be nerves v the scum but should we beat them, we will have to perform a lot better & with a lot more confidence v Newcastle if we are to win there. Vinny worried me today. Looked like his arse was going at times & with 50,000 geordies screaming at him, he's going to have to get his act together & concentrate much better.

Lets get stuck into those bastards now anyway & see what they can do about it.

( PS. Notice we conceded twice as many free kicks as Wolves again today. We are clearly a bunch of fucking thugs).

Average performance but it was enough against a terrible side.

Yaya back to his flustrating best.

Played well within himself today but I bet he's a different player v the rags.

Agree, his sheer prescence will send fear into the rags midfield. We missed him in the FA cup tie in Jan and we know what impact he had against them in the semi last season. 'They' would rather he wasn't playing I'm sure of that irrespective of his contribution today - which was ok for the large part

Whoever prepared those rankings for sky sports should resign. Absolute garbage analysis and scoring that borders on the clinically insane. Yaya better than Clichy, Aguero, Barry, Komps, or Tevez? I dont think so!
