I don't think there will be nerves v the scum but should we beat them, we will have to perform a lot better & with a lot more confidence v Newcastle if we are to win there. Vinny worried me today. Looked like his arse was going at times & with 50,000 geordies screaming at him, he's going to have to get his act together & concentrate much better.

Lets get stuck into those bastards now anyway & see what they can do about it.

( PS. Notice we conceded twice as many free kicks as Wolves again today. We are clearly a bunch of fucking thugs).

I don't like Yaya playing deep. It's ok when the Opposition aren't pressing up the pitch because he can stroll around spraying passes. When we're forced back he looks slow and sometimes not even arsed. I still think Barry and De Jong might be needed against the scum with Silva and Yaya playing further forward. Nasri can come on if Silva disappoints as he has done repeatedly recently. David was seriously pissed being taken off today. Good. Let him react the right way by putting on a real performance on Monday week. Mancini was right; he was shite today and we were suffering in central midfield for a spell in the second half.

Doesn't really change anything.....if we win at united but lose any of the last 2 its irrelevant. Newcastle away
will be VERY hard. It's still the same thing..I hope the players have this mindset because we've played
well when "the title race has been over".

Doesn't change anything? We're now only one won behind them and - if we win our remaining games - don't have to rely on other results, i.e. on them dropping any points. That makes a huge fucking difference in my opinion.

Not really, we have the same chances as the Rags of winning the last three. Swansea + Sunderland have as much chance of taking points from them as Everton and Wigan have already done.

The 'take each game as it comes' cliche comes to mind, it's all about next Monday and if we win... It's gonna be hard even for the most pessimistic fuclers to not start believing! Winning mentality time not just for the players me thinks.

Phips I can only assume you are in some sort of trance after our last 3 results - here they are again (for those of you who don't want a reminder and are a lost and worried rag who has somehow stumbled upon this site, look away now!)

City 4-0 WBA
Norwich 1-6 City
Wolves 0-2 City

As already pointed out, today has changed everything in that as a result of the goal haul as well as the 3 points attached to each of these results we are now in control of our destiny.

You are right to say it won't be easy but titles don't come easily.

On the Yaya debate, If it were up to me I would play Barry for the derby and tell him he is coming off for Yaya at around 60. That way Barry can run his arse off and a fresh Yaya to hit them with. Best of both worlds for me.

I agree with you mate but todays results were huge in the scheme of things, and Taggart knows it. We are now taking every game as it comes and focusing on them rather than a few weeks ago when everyone was focusing on the Derby, not the next game.

If we'd have gone into the Derby 5 points behind we'd still have had to win all our games and them to drop points in their last 2. As it stands we will still have to win all ours but them dropping points in their last 2 has been negated.

Still a long way to go and every minute of playing time will seem like an eternity to us, even if we are 1 nil, 2 nil, 3 nil up but this weekends results have changed the goal-posts. We now have a say in the outcome of this season mate.

Of course you're right but we still have to win out.
And if we lose to United, Toon, or QPR? Then we're done.

I'm just hoping for the squad's mindset to stay where it has been and not get all nervous like
we were playing when United was chasing us down and eventually surpassing us.

I happened to think the same few times along the season and it paid off @ Norwich... but it's an hard gamble to take in the game of the season and, overall, we all know Bob won't share with us... :-)

That's their pseudo invincibility creeping in again & we need to get rid of it.

If we beat Utd but lose to Newcastle then IF they beat Swansea we are behind again. But then if they then lose to Sunderland & we win v QPR, the title is ours. That is exactly what happened last time we won it & surely now nobody will believe that the rags losing to Sunderland is particularly unlikely ? I'd say it's 50/50 they lose that game.
