Jose's players will run through walls for him. That, along with the quality of squad he would inherit should take the club to the next level. All this about bringing new players in and having to rebuild is horse shit. He is the one man on the planet who guarantees to get more out of the players already there.

I also dont subcribe to the boring defensive manager - jesus yes he knows how to beat teams superior to his own, and those games arent pretty, but his chelsea side scored a bagful and got a record points haul. I believe in terms of squad quality we are in the same spot chelsea were at the summer jose joined.

His transfer dealings are pretty poor on the whole, but if he came, balotelli would go, ade would return, tevez may even stay, all of which would be fine with me. Only minor surgery needed in the playing staff department.

We have consistency now. We're consistently bad. We have been for months. How anyone can defend our shitty form since the start of the year is beyond me. This is not about one performance however awful and boy was it awful. Actually for utter spinelessness it reminded me of the crunch game against Spurs in Mancini's first season. This is about a whole series of performances for months. How can anyone have any confidence in next season when we're seeing what we're seeing at the end of this season. We're not going forwards we're going backwards.

Balotelli a failure, Dzeko ditto, Kolarov ditto, Savic ditto , Milner a decent pro but no top four player, Johnson inconsistent at best, ditto Nasri. Going forward bereft unless Silva's in form. No pace no width no plan B when our narrow play bumps up predictably against packed central defences safe in their knowledge that we'll play slowly from the back and never get behind them. FFS how can anyone defend the current situation. We cannot go on like this. I can accept not winning the title easily if I could see us going forward as a team with some fight. Can anyone honestly say that's what we're seeing now.

If we can't get Mourinho or Guardiola ADUG will probably soldier on with Mancini but if so he's a lucky boy. There's absolutely no sign that he's prepared to change his ways. FFS give us some PACE and some ENERGY and let's stop playing in front of the Opposition. Week after week we're going to face packed defences playing on the break at home and often away. We have to change our approach if we're going to win the League next season. That means changes in playing personnel and in management style. Can Mancini deliver this? Colour me sceptical.

Mourinho goes for pace, size, crosses & no Balotelli. So we'd have size (Dzeko) no pace & no crosses but all running through brick walls.

We have to bring in pace and width next season if we're to have any chance of winning the title. If Mancini stays I have to hope/ pray that he sees this. If Mourinho comes in he will bring in pace and width whilst dispensing with some of our failures.

Mourinho can't stay at at team. He always wants to move after every 3/4 years. We need a manager for the long term.

I've read an abundance of comments saying we need a manager for the long term. I have two questions to raise against this point.

1) Do managers that stay at clubs for more than 5 years guarantee success? I've not got many examples to suggest and baconchops is the exception to the rule.

2) Does anybody actually expect Mancini to stay at City for the next 5-10 years? He's said in many interviews that he desires to manage back in Italy and hopefully one day be national manager. So he's not a long term option either.

So who is this mystical manager who will be in charge of City until 2022?

This always makes me laugh......I brought this up before to the misguided about most clubs who won things did so with money and not with the same fuckign manager.

The major advantage of bringing Mourinho in will be the fact that we need a league title or and european cup. Maureen can deliver that.

At the moment we are the richest club in the world, we are in top 10 at the way we look on the field, but still we have only one trophy. What City needs are trophies, that Mou can deliver and with that the confidence of every player that will come here, or manager will be other than the one is right now. We just need to go to the next level and Maureen is the only one who can do that. After that, he can fuck off if he wants.

You can be as deliberately obtuse as you like, but there would be absolutely nothing wrong a forward line of tevez, dzeko and aguero with tevez and aguero playing out wide, adebayor swapping with dzeko, and johnson or an other as reserves for the wide berths.

We dont need new players, we need someone who can use what we have, and jose would fill his boots with that lot

Maureen will be our final step to the big-time darkside ... whilst I like him and admire him for what he has done, my gut feeling is that he will shit on us big style and fuck off across the road as soon as the opportunity arrives have gleaned the inner workings of City which ultimately will prevent us permanently bypassing them for longer than we all want ... it's going to be very interesting times (not necessarily happy ones) ahead, should this happen imo.

well if he is here winning title after title then why would he leave? He would already be living his dream of managing the best team in the country (in theory)

It might work brilliantly for 20 games. Just as Mancini's tactics did.

Then again, if it didn't we're already chasing Utd.

This puts to rest speculation on who is going to manage Man City next year regardless of results over the next few games.

Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and owner of English Premier League club Manchester City, believes the Blues have a chance of winning this year's title — but added that he was very satisfied even if they failed to do so.
Manchester United's 4-4 draw at home to Everton on Sunday, coupled with City's 2-0 victory over Wolves, has given Shaikh Mansour's club, who topped the table for most of the season before a recent stumble, a chance to snatch the title off their city rivals.
City will go into Monday's derby at the Etihad Stadium knowing that three wins from their final three games will be enough to make them league champions for the first time in 44 years.
Their superior goal difference to United — six goals — means they are likely to top the table even if the cross-city rivals finish with the same number of points.

Speaking to Abu Dhabi TV before the President's Cup final at the Zayed Sports City Stadium yesterday, Shaikh Mansour said: "The difference is three points and we do have a chance.
"But whatever happens and even if we don't win I am very happy and satisfied with the players, the team and the management.
"They have performed very well and have improved in their last few matches."

The improvement in the team over the last 3 games has been startling.

If we continue this form through the next 3 games, I dont think anyone could argue against Mancini getting another go next year.

What worries me is that someones ban is now over....

This will be the ultimate test for Bobby. If he doesn't keep him out of the first eleven, then it means that he hasen't learn anything of what happend so far this season.

Imho, he won't risk his job for Mario, not this time. He had enough.
