PeterParker wrote:I really hope this isn't a strategy from the board. Bobby looked very ...different the past weeks, if you ask me. From his mind games to his bench attitude during a game. The past weeks we saw the Bobby that we all respect & that might be the reason he would stay.
On the other hand, in Italy there is a rumor that Prandelli will take charge of Inter after the Euro & Bobby will be the target for the italian FA.
We shall see.

2 things for me
Still no word on a new deal for RM. He has just over a year left now. Is this a ploy by the owners which means they can get shut of him reasonably cheaply in the summer if they wish to or at the end of next season for nothing? Or is it in the pipeline? Theres been nothing in the press to suggest a new contract is forthcoming. Its all be very hush hush. Will be interesting to see if one is signed over the summer.
Related to the above, I wonder if Roberto is actually planning to leave himself at the end of the season, hence no new deal? Its well reported over his father's failing health. Perhaps he has decided to go back to Italy?! Or maybe he's still mulling it over?
Theres the potential for alot to happen between now and the start of next season and I think there is as much of a chance of Mancini not being here next season as there is of him being here. For many reasons.

His dad is seriously ill and it isn't looking good apparently. He has been flying back to Italy a lot to be by his side and also he went to some religious shrine or something in Eastern Europe as well lately for his dad.
Ted Hughes wrote:I have wondered whether he may be tempted to go back home, but Mancini himself is already talking about being here next season, so I don't think there is a problem.

I'm not sure about this mate. His old man had a heart attack but is said to be recovering/recuperating, so much that he has been flying over to see his son. He's been seen at training since his problems.Ted Hughes wrote:I have wondered whether he may be tempted to go back home, but Mancini himself is already talking about being here next season, so I don't think there is a problem.
You could be bang on the money there mate. I'd say that a new contract is on the table but Mancini and the club are waiting out until the end of the season.

Pretty certain I read somewhere that he had a relapse recently after that surgery, I could be wrong, but i'm sure I saw it somewhere.

I think it's just an ongoing story mate, how could they keep it from the players that Mancini's father is ill; they already know.
He also flew back a couple of weeks back to source a summer training camp and would've surely popped home to see his dad then.
