Changing the subject quickly I have been watching Edison cavani against Roma first half and he's good but he seems to have an attitude, there was a chance for someone to shoot and he did instead off passing to cavani and he got in a strop, like ballotelli like strop, I don't think we need another one like that again, I personally think lavezzi is better and would rather have him come, what do you think?

Both players would improve us no doubt, but Hazard has an attitude problem a mile wide. Bale spends most of his time with his head down and his mouth shut (apart from this interview!). Can you imagine what the british press would have made of "Burgergate" had Hazard been at our club?

spot on.
that's why I'd continue to prefer to have our 2 excellent first choice CBs, get back young Dedrick after getting rid of Savic and continue his development from inside playing him against lesser opposition and use Yaya and Javi Martinez as first class contingency back-ups if needed to replace VK or JL in big games.

Moses is not good enough for a top 4 side YET. Not saying he ever will be for definite but he has potential and time on his side. If he was training with the likes of tevez, Aguerro, Silva and others he'd make improvements for sure. I can definitely see someone like an Everton taking a punt on him.

Ted Hughes wrote:I think Bale is an ideal signing for us, simply because we don't have anything remotely like him & also if Kolarov goes we have very few reliable free kick takers. He isn't comparable to Hazard though; two entirely different players imo.

He's also one of the worst left backs in the world defensively but not that much worse than Kolarov, so we could play him there occasionally if we felt the need to totally fuck up the left side of our defence, or as a wing back.

If we could cash in on all the players we don't use & one or two who've not really cut it (perhaps replace a couple with youngsters promoted or veterans rather than spending big) then we could afford to add both Bale & Hazard & still have our main team intact without going too much over budget. Then we only need play Silva in half as many games. We would have to either keep Dzeko or sign a similar striker if we signed Bale though. To sign a crosser like him then not have a CF at least in the squad would be stupid.

All depends on who's leaving though. Interesting that Tevez was doing a community programme thingy with Lakey & loads of kids yesterday, on his own. Never noticed him ever do any solo community projects before. Perhaps he wants to stay ? In which case the transfer budget is cut somewhat.

If we did sign Cornelius, and I have to say I would prefer we didn't, then it must be written in the manager's new contract that he cannot play him at left back ever ever ever not even in an emergency. I have no idea why it took Spurs so long to work out that he was a winger but he is indeed, as you said, one of the worst defenders in the world!

I like Bale and think he would be a great addition to the squad, but would be concerned about the fee Spurs would want for him. I can see them wanting something ridiculous like £35m which is just far too much.

What does everyone think about Junior Hoilett? He's looked good whenever I've seen him play this season and is out of contract from Blackburn this summer isn't he? I think he'd be worth a punt as a freebie (not as our only signing by the way!).

He has more ability than both than AJ, Milner. Who I like to be clear, he is a young talent.

don't like the talk of swapping johnson for him though i really like AJ

To be fair, Bale's on a different level to Johnson.

Bale is a cheat. Don't want him. Don't need him. Bob would only play him on the right

Im surprised we havent been linked with hoillet. Looks like the media, and city fans are just looking at the marquee signings rather than those which would strengthen the squad as a whole

Why not him and Hazard? With the sheer amount of dead wood we will be getting rid of we could probably do a swap deal to save some money on Bale like throw Ade or another player.

Moses will be a great player when he discovers there are 10 other players in his team. Plays with the head down too much at the moment but will improve with age and maturity.
Another I would give a possible shout to would be James McClean at Sunderland. He's got everything Bale has but is younger, less likely to be an arsehole and would cost a fraction of what Spurs would want for Bale.

I wouldn't mind seeing us play with three centre-backs, possibly even in a fluid 3-4-3 system which would be very attacking, especially at home, so keeping them all happy and fully employed wouldn't be a problem.

If one of them were injured/suspended, you've still got the option of reverting to a more traditional back-four.

I just don't want to see us getting caught out again like we were this season when VK was out for lengthy periods at a critical stage.

In any event, a combination of Neven Subotic and Vincent Kompany is the stuff of which dreams are made and I couldn't see us conceding too many goals with those two in tandem.
