Cheers for that Lee, I knew that we still held the record for being the last teamto win the English League with an "ALL ENGLISH" team.
I never realised that we also won the European Cup Winners' Cup (1970) and the FA Cup (1969) with all English players.

This may sound silly but does that record make you swell with pride as an Englishman?

I find it somewhat dubious. Best league in the world with the best players in the world now means this league is much harder to win in theory now vs then.

Does that hold water or can you not compare the two in your mind?

Honest answer Doomie, I dunno. Never really given it much thought Mate. Suppose I just considered a badge of honour to wear. Maybe that's because I just accepted what we had then and what we have now.

Let me give it some serious thought and get back to you.

Fair enough. I've put a note in your pocket on how to get you home in case the neighbors find you wandering the streets.

I'll keep the kettle on.

Cheers

I saw that match on Italian tv, but my silly poor memory had lost track of how good that Francis lad was. what a great set up for the first: it would be certainly proving good to break some buses parked nowadays.

sick of those rags cunts hacking even the vintage memories of glory on youtube!

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

In Roger Ailes/Donnie Drumpf's words: "don't know it for a fact, but many people say so..."
there must be some truth, then!
