I understand your argument on that side, but what if he really means it, wants to be here for years, and we see Tevez become the best player in the world at our beloved club? Would you really want to throw that away?
Might be a smokescreen and he might be off; maybe he's talked to Khaldoon, RM etc. and they have come to an understanding that he's the man, but first and foremost he's a City team player, no more pissing about, do the business on the pitch and be a model (a la Kompany) Citizen for as many years as your good for.

Would like a link to the Mancini interview where he says about seeing the best of Carlos next season..

I agree it's difficult to trust him at all, but to me there does seem something different in this. His family is here, and, well to me he just seems different & also it does seem as if his relationship with Bob is different. I recon a lot of things came together to create the problem: Hughes' sacking, his wife buggering off with the kids, his lack of desire to really play football for anything but money & the influence of KJ, using those things to try & move him on.

It's a gamble to trust him, but it's no more of a gamble than signing Dzeko or any big money player; many big signings often don't work out & if we sign players they may flop, Tevez may not work out but surely the rewards are proven if he does ?

as soon as he shows signs of playing for himself and not the team haul his arse off the pitch . we play as a team now , not as a support role for tevez. so far since his return he has understood this

He's a fucking brilliant player full stop. Headcase, yep but if he can sort his head and just enjoy it here with his little Spanish speaking group of hombres and at Mottram Hall....well, I'm more than happy for him to stay

I loved his comments about fans throwing away Tevez shirts....guilty as charged!

To me it is the boy who cried wolf, there is no way to know if he means it this time or not. If he does then sure he can be great but the risk of this being another bullshit Kia story is too big. If he ditched Kia then I'd prob say lets risk it.

The problem is that nomatter what people think FFP will restrain our spending and Tevez takes up a huge chunk of our wage bill allowance. I would rather see us sell him and spend the money on a couple of young strikers of top talent (Muniain?). They will demand less wage but prob cost us more upfront. If we ship out Dzeko or another couple of backup strikers then we can prob. get a "senior" striker in aswell. Balo, Aguero, Dzeko (or another), a great prospect or two plus Guidetti should give us a good 2012/2013 season.

I'd rather we look long term and bring in a great prospect that will be top 10 striker in the world in a couple of years than spend that money on a player who might decide to not play 3/4 of the season.

Totally agree with both

2 years working with Aguero, score a boatload of goals, win us lots of trophys, then back off to Argentina on a free with our blessing. Maybe he'd enjoy winning cups that much he might stay another year?!

Regardless of whats gone on, i'd be happy with that.

I've been arguing this with my Dad, who still goes with Bell. I saw Bell and he was magnificent, for sure. Tevez pips Tueart to the best I've seen and that is high praise becuase Tueart was fucking amazing.

If Tevez does it tonight, well, you know the rest.

I said earlier that he has either worked out or had it pointed out to him that his best chance of regular games for Argentina is if he forms a relationship with Aguero on the pitch. They were struggling to fit the two of them into the same team last year.

My goodness, that gentleman on the extreme right of the middle row looks quite like me....I'm going to have to get to the Barber's shop pretty soon, on that basis.

By the way, is that Tony Book in the centre of the middle row ??

He clearly has a personality disorder. You are either with him or against him in his mind, and it changes quickly one way or the other.

There is my Fruedian take on it all.... not that I know anything about pyschology, but it seems to make sense with Carlos.
