I think we can do it. I have got a vague memory that perhaps I have said this before.

I'm with Ant on this one.

Some of the neutrals I've spoken to reckon that even if we "scrape" through against Newcastle and then manage to beat (fighting for survival) QPR, the Scum will probably score a bucketful in each of their two remaining games and sneak the title on a better goal difference. Ostensibly, this might, as a perfunctory assessment, be a seemingly valid viewpoint but, equally, if we're in the right frame of mind and play to our potential, there's nothing to stop us going out and completely demolishing Newcastle and QPR and consigning this argument to that of a purely academic one.

The momentum is now with City, the Scum are a fast fading force and the psychological impact of last night's result will be massive for both teams. We are more than capable and skilful at taking anyone apart and if our two last games are a more difficult proposition than those of the Trafford Rat Boys, then victory will be more gratifying for being hard won.

We can do it and this season will enter the realms of legend.

If it came down to that, I think we will absolutely hammer QPR.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

As I felt and wrote in the aftermath of the back to back thrashing of the filth, to manage of bringing home a huge game that the Lads, somehow, have not been able to kill despite the huge superiority, has certainly given them a further massive boost of confidence about pressure handling.
furthermore, should Chelsea win tomorrow, as expected, I reckon the pressure on the Geordies will be bigger than that on our Lads. and they are far less used to.

We can and we probably will, we have seen "typical city" becoming churning out 1-0 results in crunchtime as of late.

Neville saying Ferguson won't want to have the title be decided on goal difference, easy solution there scottie... throw a couple of games!

i hope so it will go to goal difference i think, if we were to win 2-0 v barcodes thats plus 12 on them, so thats 2 ,6-0 they have to get
thats without accounting for goals for us v qpr.

We have this thing going for us called “momentum”. We had this at the back end of last season and we are again seeing it again now. The finish line is so close and we are pushing hard to get over it first.

As I said in the match thread, that Arsenal game will be in the players heads and the feelings that they got from that will be very fresh in the minds of all our lads. This surely must be motivation enough to push us to our first title in over 30 years. I cant see players like Vinny, Yaya, Joe and Nigel allow anything but two wins and high standards from everyone.

I liked how they celebrated the win last night, calm and dignified. No jumping around like loons, the lads know we have a job to do and I full expect them now that they are in the position to finish the job.

grabbing a 0-1 whatsoever way @ St. James's will do more than fine.
QPR, probably already relegated, at home will be just a walk on the park, more than Chelsea did, if needed.

Yep, said it at the time but everyone was too busy trying to strap Bob into the electric chair, the players snapped out of it after the arse performance and fully realised they were letting themselves down. It is mental experience and they can call on that again now, imo it had to happen to get that experience of how to deal with it. The quality that City have it is simple at the end of the day, stay relaxed and focus on putting everything into the moment. The commitment we have seen since the arse game is what it is all about, do that and this City team will carry all before them.

Typical City is well gone and I don't think that not winning the title proves it hasn't, In a tight race someone has to be shaded out and that doesn't equate to anything tbh.
For the team these next two games are now the biggest. Fuck the league and all the conotations, just go out to win to prove ourselves the best, the rest will fall into place.
As for the barcodes, let's see what their game on Wed brings, Chelsea have had a shot in the arm and will take some containing, Newcastle's bid for a 4th place could be well on the ropes by Sunday, especially if Spurs beat Bolton. The more critical it is the more desperate they may be and that I don't think is a good way to come to a match with City, who by the looks of it have learnt that their best option is to keep it cool.
City have the know-how for this, that is why typical doesn't come into it any more.

this is why we have to beat newcastle and qpr well, cause the utd rejects in the sunderland team will lie down for their beloved club.
utd could put 5 past them.

Tomorrow's game is massive and from Newcastle's perspective is about the worst conceivable preparation for the weekend that you could have drawn up. They could very well be sat 6th by kickoff on Sunday and be mathematically out of the race for 3rd, which might be the last CL place. Psychologically that could be hugely deflating.

Even if they get a result at Chelsea their legs will be gone by the 60 minute mark on Sunday.

We've been handed a big opportunity with our midweek being clear and we have to grasp it with both hands.

If we'd had no Silva & then left Tevez on the bench & played Balotelli & Milner in the other games like we did at Arsenal, I think rags would be Champions already.

Just saw Tunnel Cam onto OS.
if You look close to the Lads' eyes, particularly when preparing to enter the field for second half in full understanding of what was still ahead of them, I reckon it's extremely improbable they bottle it in the remaining two.

Main thing is that both Newcastle and QPR will need to win to achieve their aims. Newcastle will likely be 6th but still an outside chance for 4th and very unlikely QPR will already be down as they aren't even bottom 3 yet! What we don't want, and shouldn't have, is teams with nothing to gain, or just needing a point, setting their stall for a nil-nil and us having to break them down. Teams that attack us usually get their throats ripped out trying.

I don't believe that any player would purposely throw a game even if they are ex rag.

But if they are capable of doing that then I'm pretty sure SWP and nervous neddy would rather us win the league
