Absolutely shitting it. Nothing can reassure me. The old words 'Typical' and 'City' are ringing through my head constantly. I've joked at work about how we will lose to proper United and / or QPR in a spectacular fuck up. I dread the moment that I eat those words. I'm extremely negative about this. I should log off this site until it's all over. This is more shitmyselfworthy than when we played Ipswich in 2001. The humiliation of throwing the title away in such a fashion, the visions I have of manure fans guffawing at our capitulation, waving banners with 20 printed on them... It's making me feel physically ill. I almost long for the days when we were mid to low table obscurity, I must stay off this site. Lads, please ban me until it's all over.

seriously mate, I hope that King Jong Un pushes the red button and sends the UK into oblivion so don't slide to second place. I would rather that than the vile repugnant dirty red subhuman vermin scum winning the league again.

Cisse and Demba Ba will be a handful but I think that Vinnie and Joleon are more than up to keeping them in check and both are definitely quick enough to prevent them giving either the slip and creating enough space for the half chance which is all that either striker needs on current form.

I would be tempted to start both De Jong and Barry and push Yaya up to the position he started from and then only start either Silva or Nasri for this one.

Tiote and Ben Arfa both have the ability to cause us problems if we don't pay enough attention to them so for me it's about keeping enough resources on the above four and then playing our own game. Yaya behind Nasri, Aguero and Tevez for me should be more than enough to create enough opportunities for us to win this

Agree with most of this.

I don't think Mancini will change a winning team, though. And they'll target De Jong after the Ben Arfa tackle the other year.

Typical City missed the penalty against Middlesborough to miss out on Europe.

Typical City lost at home to Spurs 0-1 to miss out on the Champions League.

Manchester City beat Scum in the FA cup semi, and went on to win it.

Manchester City finished joint 2nd last season.

Manchester City won't fuck things up this time.

An itchy week ahead. Are we sure 2 wins will do?
We are 8 goals clear and 2 odd goal wins will make 10 goals for them to catch.
Surely they can't catch up a 10 goal differnece in 2 games?

If they had to play 2 teams managed by the likes of Bruce, Moyes, McLeish and any of the other Whiskychophants then I'd suspect that a 10 goals for and nil against performance was possible

Fortunately, I think Brendan Rogers is a manager with pride who has (not yet) bought into the cosy up to Fergie bollocks

And I think Mancini has sufficiently riled O'Neill to have him send a proper team out

oh and I can see us putting 5 past QPR

Swansea are capable of collapsing at the back though & a bully who has just had his face punched in likes nothing better than to take it out on the weak kid. Imo it depends which version of Swansea turns up, & that's why Bob has been clever as you say; they will be letting down their fans if they prove his comments to be correct, as the fans will really want their team to prove him wrong.

If either Swansea or Sunderland do stand up to them though, Bob should make a point of mentioning it, admitting he was wrong & giving them a bit of praise. That would be the class thing to do.

In the end though, it's our fault if we don't win it from here.

Don't forget that Foy is officiating the Swansea game. An early sending off and a penalty or two for the rags could help breaking the Welsh down.

If we win our games we'll win the league.

Can we do it? Yes Will we do it? dunno

I dont think anything can be as tense as Monday, the experience we take from coming through that should carry us to victory.

A quick note to all.

The Newcastle match kicks off at 1.30pm not 3.00pm as it says on this site's fixture list.

its not over yet....... lets assume we win by one goal at newcastle...swansea look a little tired and as said a few more handy penalties for the scum and they (swansea) could get thumped 5-0. then sunderlands ex scum players go and hide on the day and hand scum 3-4 goals...the goal difference can be closed, its difficult but not at all impossible. that's why we must beat newscastle well. a massive game, must win at all costs, and remember we were bloody lucky to beat them at home earlier in the season, the scum lost there too. I

OK newcastle have to play tonight, but in many ways the game on Sunday is potentially more difficult than the one last Monday.
