Rossi punches Ljajić

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Rossi should have been suspended pending an investigation into his conduct. Whilst what he has done may well constitute gross misconduct and justify instant dismissal, if procedures are not followed then it opens the possibility of a field day for the lawyers. On the other hand they may have come top an agreement with the manager and simply paid up his contract. If his contract was up in the summer this may have been the easiest thing to do, saves the manager having to deal with the player and vice versa.

The pressure of modern day football eh? Very sad. Not the game it was when I were a lad!

i laughed at that as well....i think he means "partially" and it's an english translation issue.

altho i prefer thinking he just maybe has a clubfoot.

I would've guessed it means "severely" in that context. It's a bit of a setup for foreigners & an honest mistake to think the adjective 'hard' & the adverb 'hardly' have the same meaning, not the opposite!

That puts a slightly different slant on things.

Fully justified if true imo.

what if Rossi had a lisp and Llajic had said "what awe yew thinking thubbing me out?"

then what?

cheers

Although not being able to pronounce 'r' is a speech impediment, it is not a lisp. Lisping has to do with having problem producing 's' and 'z' sounds. Like the gay lisp.

hardly a surprise, for this case, Mate.
I mean, whatsoever way You may be wound up a manager cant punch an employee!
it is the fifth OTT episode in the last few weeks of italian footy, btw.

yet another sample of how deeply broken my poor country is... :-(

Hi Mancio, this is not good.

I love Italian football and Fiorentina are the only other team, in the world, that I like (after City).

Who is in line to be their next manager and, in your expert opinion, do you think this now spells relegation for them ??

Might I ask how you know that? Were you in the dugout? And what is this son's name? As far as I'm aware Delio Rossi's son Dario is not disabled & neither are his two daughters.

Hi Mikhail,
actually I'm no longer a Seria A expert since quite long. I went totally annoyed by the constant, blatant fix up, in fact.
anyway, widespread rumours tell Della Valle family, Owners of Fiorentina, are desperately seeking for Spalletti and that's the reason why D. Rossi was only offered a sort of season caretaking contract. Whether the ambitious and talented manager, currently gaffer at St. Petersburg, is prepared to leave a very ambitious project to settle back to the warmth and historical stage of Florence is highly debatable, imo.
there are further rumours linking la Viola with Prandelli, pretended in the will of quitting the National Team cause missing everyday football.
I omitt further rumours that I rockon to have room on Chinners bullox only.

edit: third last relegation seat should be a contest among Lecce and the red&blue scums from my home town (Genoa C&FC) with possible further off field developments for Lecce, according to the fixing scandal of last seasons which see Lecce as epicenter. so, it's highly probable they will be fined a huge amount of points from the current table stand. Fiorentina is in big mess but only need one point to be absolutely safe and are to play a relaxed Cagliari at home in the last game: I cannot see problems there.
