How many of you bottled it after the Arsenal game? I'll start. Guilty as charged. After the dreadful surrender at the Emirates I didn't see any chance of our turning in the performances we have over the last 5 games.

Fucking immense. I'm proud of the lads. Mancini's done incredibly well to pick the players off the floor and get them believing again with a bit of help from the scum.

They dropped the points we needed them to drop. who thought theyd do that? I didnt...did I think we could win all our remaining games after arsenal? of course, so rather than bottle it my bottle was half full with realism.

we have one match to play. they have one match and a half.

just like we weren't down and out then, they aren't dead and buried yet my friends.

Let's just keep our knobs out of each others mouths for a couple more hours and see where things stand please?

cheers

I won't be glad that certain people jumped the gun, like I can't see why anyone can jump the gun now, but it should be a lesson to individuals that we have never been just about one game .................................. NEVER!

You would have to have been on drugs to think it wasn't over after the Arsenal game - no one, not even the most optimistic, could have predicted the RAG's Wigan and Everton games.

No one in his right state of mind would had been convinced that we can win the league looking at our vs their fixtures.

Imho, something changed when Moses scored for 1-0 with them. City had a mediocre first half with WBA and when it was announced that Wigan took the lead, our game direction changed dramatically. What happend since then it”s movie material.

And i might add, QPR will have to PLAY FOOTBALL here. They aren”t in the situation to park their bus and wait. This will be the ace in our hand.

That's actually a very good point, their (Prem) life is pretty much on the line.

When we lost at Swansea , I thought FFS we have let them in and we all know what they have done to other teams in the final stages a prime example being Liverpool a few seasons ago. But I still had belief that we could run with them till the death and we have proved we can.We have been by far the best team all season so we deserve this. Looking forward to next Sunday I am lucky enough to remember 1968 although I was only 8 years old never thought I would ever see it agin in my lifetime it will be very emotional.

I have always maintained reserved resilience as most city fans do when you can't quite believe Christmas is around the corner and you might, just might get what you've always dreamed of. Saying CTID is a powerful acronym which is a lifelong, campaign long, day long honour to be able say...... Giddy butterfly excitement

Sadly the twastards only need a point to be safe as their GD is way superior to Bolton's. This is the only part of the dynamic that worries me...

This is how I called it on the day of the Arsenal match. Some results were spot on ! The Arsenal result was a hiccup but Wigan beating the scum evened that out.
Still think that the last day's results will come true and we'll win it on point and not on GD.

by Dubaimancityfan » 07 Apr 2012 16:19

A win at the Emirates would be great but even a draw would still keep us in the title run.
I did the BBC Predictor and input below results which see us finish the season on 88 points with the Sum on 87.

Maybe it's a pipe dream but completely realistic IMHO. Any surprise from QPR and Wigan would completely change the equation of course. I had high hopes on BB but we all saw how that ended although BB had their chances.

Arse 1 City 1
Scum 2 QPR 0
City 3 WBA 0
Wigan 1 Scum 1
Nowrich 1 City 2
Scum 2 Villa 0
Scum 2 Everton 2
Wolves 1 City 2
City 2 Scum 1
Newcastle 2 City 2
Scum 2 Swan 0
City 2 QPR 0
Sunderland 2 Scum 1
