Europa League final

So, who will win it? Bilbao had a hell of a season, while Atletico had a sensational comeback with Simeone.

Looking at the team sheets, we could watch our next striker with Llorente and Falcao which are expected to perform tonight.

Meanwhile, the prices to the game went to the roof. Almost between 200 and 1000 euros.

It's tonight ?

Oh good!

No idea who will win but should be a great game in front of two proper sets of fans. Better than the dross served up by the Prem over the last two nights.

I would have thought Martinez & Herrera are the two players we're watching closest. ( purely because of the sheer number of rumours re both). I would grab Muniain but I doubt they'd let him go under any circumstances & Hazard is a much more developed player tbf.

I don't get the Herrera links at all but there have been a lot of them. There's another geezer who plays wide (ish) who impresses me every time I see him but I've got a mental block re his name.

Lllorente is probably out of our age target range & Falcao probably too expensive & too much of an out and out goalscorer. Both absolutely superb at what they do though & fantastic in the air.

Id like to see bilbao win this.

Funny how tickets are going through the roof, i had some for uefa cup final last year in dublin and had to give them away in the end cos of the shite support from the teams involved.

@ted playoff second leg on aswell thats always a belter.
derby day the scores were level,
then the goat was fed by neville,
silly boy should know for sure,
feed the goat and he will score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well the whole city is packed with fans from the both sides. I came back in town for the final and i had problems with traffic both in town and at the airport.

I paid almost 55 euros for the ticket back in november, but i saw today, on a local site like ebay the prices were at 600 euros, 400, etc. It all depended by the location of the seat.

Not to hijack the thread, but does anyone know if it is on TV in the states? I can't seem to find it, and it would be really odd considering they televised the earlier rounds (Gol TV)...

Just watching the preview and the recent form of both teams points towards an Athletico Madrid win. I would prefer Athletic Bilbao to win because of the thrashing they gave the rags

Just like the Champions League right?

This season has been a massive failure for the Spanish League in regards to Europe.

Spain had two clubs in the semi finals of the CL mate. I don't think that's a failure.

would not be surprised if we bid for falcao after this showing ... especially if we are still unsure as to tevez staying or going.

Falcao is a top class striker! To be fair, Bilbao's defence is not the best out there

Said it last season before Atletico bought him, he is a great striker. Looking at how our team has looked with two dynamic strikers as of late he would be immense in our team I think.

Cannot see us going for another "targetman" striker after things have not looked that great with Dzeko in our system, not because Dzeko is not a good player but our system is not made for that kind of striker.

We look so much better with Tevez and Aguero up top and I'd swap Tevez for Falcao any day of the week. We should have snapped him up when Atletico got him for what is not next to nothing:-)

I don't see us buying another striker anytime soon. We have Mario, Carlos, Kun and Dzeko. Not to forget Adebayor as well!
