I suspect that after that end to the season, every man and his dog will be wanting a season card.
Has there been any news on this yet?

Its 38m over 3 years though isnt it?
Increasing matchday revenue by increasing ticket prices will not make an appreciable difference to the clubs income.
Bear in mind that for a one of matchday ticket, prices have already reached £50, so i doubt very much that will be going up. Even if it did, say a fiver, that is an extra £50k per game or £1m per season based on 10,000 tickets being on sale.
Add a fiver a game to the remaining season tickets would push my season ticket to near 600 quid, increasing revenue per supporter by £100 over the season........which is only £3.7m
Total increase would be less than £5m
To put that into context, bridge is on just short of £5m per year.

Hopefully they will take the view that revenues on site can be increased with more bums on seats each person spending a little more in the store and bars etc rather than getting more out of tickets.
Spending on the stadium does not come under FFP but the extra revenue that it generates does!

That said, I can only stretch so far financially and really hope the club don't go down the same route as Arsenal, Chelski and to a certain extent The Scum, with the ticket prices.

Before i moved to the family stand, I paid 650 for a seat in the cb stand just a few years ago, to sit on the end seat of a row - where the person across the aisle was paying 400.
It is now cheaper for me to pay for my ticket in the family stand, plus a kids ticket for a stepson i no longer have, than move elsewhere in the stadium.
I suppose we know that increases will happen, but i suppose i have to say that even if they hit us badly, i will still probably pay less for 2 season tickets than i did for one in 2008.

Family Stand's where its at John, you know that!
I used to sit in the East Stand, but now take 2 kids with me and sit on tier 2 in the Family Stand and with the prices for the kids and value for money Ill be staying right where I am until the kids are too old and I have to move! The prices initially forced me to move behind the goals, but to be honest having sat all over the stadium any seat on the second tier gives you a great view.
saulman wrote:Yeah I go with my 11 year old son but in five years, he'll be too old to qualify for a ticket in the family stand and I worry that if I moved over there, would there be space elsewhere in the stadium when he's too old to sit there? I understand that you can't get in without a kid in tow so what happens when your kids aren't kids?
All that said, I love my seat in East and I'll stay where I can for as long as I can. Fingers crossed they don't increase too much.

At those prices, if they remain the lowest priced by such a long margin, im not being funny, ill make another kid up when these lot all hit 16 in a couple of years.
Wes is after moving into the comfy seats next year, but i just cant stomach paying so much for a ticket that i might not even be able to use much next season.

Agree on staying John, its better value for money and still a great view.

Have you been in the family stand? You could count the kids on one hand! You do though need to buy a kid's ticket as well as an adult one, so you need to find a kid to two with you in a few years time. Think I'll be swapping the elder daughter's name to the younger son's in a few years.
