Serious answer - it's the club's total expenditure on absoltely everything since the takeover. Including what we would have spent anyway, so not additional expenditure or net investment, just total spending. If you take the rag's turnover figure and deduct the profit (before tax) then you can add up their expenditure too and probably get it to something quite close. I can't be bothered.
