Just been watching the Aguero goal for the billionth time and Balos contribution is absolutely vital

Holds up the ball and as he's falling manages to toe poke it just enough to get it to Aguero

He won us the league

But surely it was De Jong's pass to Aguero that won us the league?? or Lescotts header to De Jong!!!? No wait.... maybe it was onuoha's throw in!!

It was Sergio who did the hardest thing in football - putting the ball in the back of the net. He won us the league

no, no, it was Nasri craftily letting the ball go out of play for the throw. That drew the QPR players up field, thus opening up the space
for the winning move. Brilliant. Nasri won us the league.

And how can we forget Dzeko's lovely movement to catch Silva's corner and head that in ... had that not happened a min earlier, the third goal might not have come or mattered, so maybe he won us the league ... oh well, who put Dzeko in, ah, Mancini ... or how about the millions of fans literally praying in front of their TVs or wherever they were watching or listening?

All winding up of Beeks aside, Mario looked the biz when he came on. He was superb but we were too wrapped up in the game to care at the time.

If he was that player on a regular basis, he would be fantastic for us BUT he was that player in the cup final, when he said he'd changed, after knocking us out of the UEFA.

This season, he produces another mature performance after behaving like a fucking headcase at Arsenal, almost a year after his mature 'new leaf' performance at Wembley.

Next season, we need deeds, not words & we need an end to the bullshit.

It wasn't his only mature performance of the season but I agree the nonsense needs to be cut out.

Not saying it was. Just that it doesn't prove he's learned his lesson, because he said the same after the cup final.

To be fair to Balo, he made some mistakes this season but his contribution when Tevez was out of the squad and Dzeko was having his prolonged bad patch was quite good. How many goals has Balo scored in the league this season and how many assists does he have? I think we have definitely seen a big improvement from him this season; he needs to control himself more, true, and maybe stop putting himself in the spotlight out of the pitch, but overall I'm pleased of his improvement in behaviour and effectiveness on the pitch.

Interesting. I was genuinely curious as I thought he would have more. From how I remember his games and how he would get involved in our play up front, I would have sworn he had more than one.

Still, my point stands that he's improved a lot this year both as efficiency and behavour go on the pitch, and I think that's an objective view on his season. He can still improve on both aspects of course, as well as on his workrate.

He still needs to learn its a team game, and we are strong when 11 players play for each other.

He doesn't need to do it all himself. Someone needs to tell him there is no pressure on him.

We'll find out early next season I think.

Bob won't have any more patience for any kind of disruptive behaviour & will expect him to play for the team.

Did his best to lose us it, more like. His efforts/conduct over the course of the season have been shocking. He could have given us so much more, especially With Tevez playing up. The stage really was set for him, but he was too much of a nutter/tit to grasp the chance.

He was great when he came on last sunday. He gave us a bit of verve and looked a threat.

However, the sad fact is that had it not been the last minute of the last game, with so much at stake, he wouldn't have bothered slipping Aguero in. He'd made his fall more theatrical, turned to the ref, then beat the turf with his fist in frustration at not getting a pen. He'd then have spent the next thirty seconds sitting with his head in hands until he could be arsed getting to his feet.
