Bringing the thread back to what the actual topic was ...

Here's a scenario for a possible group of death ... Real Madrid, Man City, Juventus and Borussia Dortmund - that's all the Champions of the Top 4 leagues in Europe. La Liga, Premier League, Serie A and Bundesliga.

It's a very real possibility and frightening even if three of them get drawn together. I'd really like a smooth ride this time around, no such group pls.

Personally I'd probably love that group. It would be excellent to watch and good to see how good we have become relative to those teams. And I think we'd probably qualify. The only drawback I suppose would be potential impact to our league form (which IMO is way more important than anything in the CL)

Even as City supporting cab driver who meets many diffrent fans from many different places, I have been confronted (affronted) by the definition of City's owners as "the fucking Arabs" or comments as "City are owned by fuckin Pakis". We would be very naive to think that in many less enlightened countries that attitudes would be any better, even at the highest level.

It may not be as obvious as the street level racism we encounter but I think it exists and does define certain attitudes towards us.

Sir John,
I do apoplogize, cuz I missed this separate reply.
It's my fault for expressing my thoughts in a dodgy language. If You browse back my posts You will find that I expressed the very same opinion several times. It's not as obvious as the street level racism, but plain enough and it also explains why the media painting of the "moneybag ruining football" tale has passed so deeply through the English Fans, who used to be very sympathetic and respectful towards City ante take-over.
The improper use of the acronym was to express it in a humourous way, based on the fact that anyway the Sports governing Bodies are indeed global nowadays, but they also are all founded onto a huge heritage of Anglosaxon tradition: which is a great benefit 99% of times, bar a slight tendency to snobbery...:-)

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

In Roger Ailes/Donnie Drumpf's words: "don't know it for a fact, but many people say so..."
there must be some truth, then!
