Former Youngsters - How Are They Doing?

Postby Niall Quinns Discopants » Tue May 22, 2012 4:08 am

I think it'd be nice to track down some of the youngsters we used to have and have they are doing now. What you thought of them and how they are coping now.

I'll start

Felipe Caicedo - Thought he had lot of guts in him but absolutely horrendous first touch which would prevent him making it in top leagues. After bagging goals for Levante (most of which just happened to fall for him), moved to Russia where he seems to have done alright.
Gelson Fernandes - Hard working and sometimes overenthusiastic midfielder who I thought would become solid contributor. Has had up and down seasons being constantly loaned out from Saint Etienne. Helped Udinese to Champion's League spot this spring and few times I saw him from them it seemed he was finally coming to an age.

Please continue
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Apparently after all his trials (see what I did there?) and tribulations, "Thanks Joey" Barton taken up walking....oh and early baths.

Can we add players we'd like to hear about if anyone has followed them?

If so here's a few

Garrido
Emile mpenza ( I know he's old)
Sam Williamson? I think that's his name. Debut unset Sven
Pretty Boy Lee

i liked caicedo and wasn't the first player who's style seemed to mysteriously change when they arrived at city.

I hope he goes on to have a very nice career, absolute beast of a man as well as a seemingly like able guy.

we got right royally shafted over Caicedo
loaned him out with a right to buy clause which they duly exercised and immediately sold him for a n00% profit.
Don't know which knob thought that was good business.

Ishmael Miller was the guy we sold to make way for him wasn't he?

Wilo Flood trading his wares oop north now
and what about that Kiwi Chris Killen?

Edit: Oh and these three: Thaksin's lads
Never criticise a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes.
That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.
And you'll have his shoes.

Suree Sukha spent two years playing for Melbourne Victory in the A-League. He was a pretty good player. I think he left to go back to Thailand last season.

Killen plays in China (thank you google), while i saw Miller this season at Forest. He scored some goals, had some incredible situations that he missed, the usual.

On the other hand, i think on SSN or BBC, can't remember well, i saw a video where they shown reactions from around the world, collected from youtube, when Kun scored, and in one of those videos, there was an aussie going berserk who i am almost certain that was Danny Allsopp. Can't find the video on their sites though.
