Would rather stick with who we got - or maybe one signing. Am hoping Balo's finally learned from being sidelined for almost all the run-in. Dzeko? Yes. And as far as I am concerned, Tevez can stay but any more fcuking about.... Is Torres really a safer bet?

One thing easy to overlook is the value of a settled side, which paid off in spades the last 6 games. We spent so much energy last 3 or 4 years assimilating loads of newcomers. And some of them were shite. You don't always know what you are getting until it's too late.

This comes from assumption that Tevez is off. It might seem that all is happy now but Mancini doesn't strike me as someone who will ever forgive or forget being fucked over in such crucial situation. I think Tevez only got his chance because no one was interested and both sides realised that he needs to be put in the shop window. I would NOT be stupid enough to trust Tevez in the future and neither should (or will) be Mancini.

This whole topic proves how short memories football supporters often have. In other topics people are creaming over van Persie and here Torres is bag of wank. It might be the case if you just look at this past season but people also seem to forget that this was the first season EVER van Persie managed over 28 league games. Feller is perennial sick note.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

I don't want RVP either.

I don't see how Tevez being an arse is a bigger risk than RVP falling to bits or Torres continuing to be a useless mopey soft cunt tho.

I certainly rate RVP but lets face it, he's not going to have a scoring or appearence record like he has in the season just gone ... that with his age/wage demands make it a no from me .... not that I have any say in the matter of course

Yeah, rather have some guy golfing 98% of the season. That's much better.

If Tevez is going to go, I'd want to see Cavani replace him (I'd like Cavani in, irrespective of Tevez leaving) but, as the icing on top of the cake, if we could do a swap deal with Adebayor for Torres, without paying anything/much extra, that would be good business to my way of thinking.

Not saying its ideal, what I'm saying is the chance of him doing that again any worse than the other two scenarios?

It is. For couple of different reasons. First, other players will eventually start thinking they can pull these stunts and take the piss out of Mancini. Second, when he wants off it has to be last time for him and he will be gone for good.

I'm fewking glad you don't make the club's decisions. (Several means more than one, by the way).

Likewise. I mean, we'd be shopping according to whoever tabloids rate if it was up to you.

Pretty sure you were banging on about Heargreaves last summer for example. Apologies if wrong but I seem to recall that.

What a ridiculous post! Torres completely saw his arse and pretty much begged to be given a chance to take a penalty!

From what I know when he was over here his pen taking record was not good at all,he missed quite a few.Not suprised he was blanked.

I prefer the evidence of my own eyes - and no it wasn't me. Look where we sit, and tell me honestly that we need to GAMBLE like this would be.

And should Tevez leave, who is your surefire bustproof solid gold goalscorer we'd replace him with?

Drogba is apparently off, so Chelsea definitely have some shopping to do if Torres also leaves.

I'm tempted to say Suarez just to wind you up.

How would mentioning some weak crappy racist Liverpool striker, who I always hated as a prospect, wind me up?

And why should I furnish you with a suggestion simply for disagreeing with yours?

Because basically that would mean that you are comfortable with strike force of Aguero, Dzeko and Balotelli should Tevez leave.

Thank god you don't make decisions for us, eh?

Not someone who scored about 5 league goals last year.

If there was such a person out there, fair enough. Until then it's a percentage game and some of us would rather bet on the guys we got than someone like Torres.

Couple of fucking stupid answers with no suggestions. Come on then, put your head out and give suggestions. Going into season of about 60 games with three strikers would be idiotic.
