Mpenza started this season in Bakoe, Azerbeidzjan
he claimed he wanted to come back to Belgium and Bakoe was prepared to let him go for free in the winter
Mpenza was supposed to go play for Westerlo, a club that was fighting relegation and in fact just got relegated to Belgium's second tier
but then he got an offer from Fenerbahçe
ofcourse if he was going to play for them, Bakoe wanted some money for his transfer
Fenerbahçe wasn't really into that
after some disputes Mpenza eventually left Bakoe and I think both parties are taking each other to court now
all very nice
but indeed, he's without a club at the moment

Geert De Vlieger has retired since the end of last season and is now a commentator for football games on Belgian TV
he was a reserve keeper for Club Brugge in the last year of his career

so far for the old Belgian guys

on topic, when I think about our youngsters, I immediately think about Shaleum Logan
he's now playing for Brentford an managed by Uwe I believe

BERNADO CORRADI- Never really reached his potential at City and left on a free in the summer. Was snapped up by Barcelona on a free and has since scored over 200 goals for them, winning two WPOTY awards aswell.

Ged Elliot?

Negouai hasn't had a club in 5 years so presumably retired due to the knee injuries
De Vlieger was last seen at Brugge (warming the bench I think)
Ronald Waterreus - retired in 07 after a spell in america
Toure last seen at Paris FC
colosimo playing in australia for melbourne heart
wasn't lucien at southampton for a bit

thanks to wiki for most of that

This topic was supposed to be about former City YOUNGSTERS. Waterreus....LOL.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

There used to be a couple of brothers that we had high hopes for. Name was something like Dairylea or was it laughing cow?

Twins Jonathan and Nathan D'Laryea. Think Nathan never made it, remember Jon playing for Mansfield under Keith Curle. Dunno where he is now.
On the topic of twins, what happened to Nick and Anthony Fenton?

Nick plays for Morecambe now. Used to play at Notts County and Rotherham I think?

Not sure about Anthony?!
