New ways to keep up with City.

As our football reaches new heights, we’re determined to find new ways to bring you closer to your club.

Next season our digital programme will be a cross-platform match day publication, bringing you unbeatable news, features and interactive content via social media platforms, mobiles and tablets. (For the traditionalists, ‘City’ will still be available in good, old-fashioned print.)

City TV is also being transformed into a scheduled online TV channel with exclusive programming, the latest goals, player interviews and video archive on demand. All available 24/7, across all platforms. And completing the digital picture, your Membership card will once again unlock fantastic Augmented Reality experiences and competitions throughout the season.

The internal media coverage at City is exceptional.

So pleased to see them continually pushing on with new ways to get new fans across the globe interested and involved. We're going to need them.

Won awards for it this year. Will win them next year too.

They could charge for stuff like this, as our friends down the road do to their fans, but they're far more concerned with involvement and 'togetherness' which i think, in the long run, will benefit us far more than a snidey channel on sky will. (i really hope they dont set one up now).

Bravo City.

What i hate about citys current fortunes is the fans that jump on board because we are actually successful at this point in time.
When the shit hits the fan i wonder where will all trott off too?

The same place all the rags will start fucking off to.

I hate 'glory supporters' as much as anyone, but make no mistake, if we're to become the club we've promised to become, then we're going to need a few million of them. We need the subscriptions to the City Mag, the shirt-sales in China, Japan, UAE etc, the shameless merchandising that goes on.

It's a part all 'real fans' dont like to acknowledge, especially for those City fans who have been there at the lowest of the low, but we cant have the world's biggest, most expensive cake, and try to eat it all for ourselves.

It's things like those mentioned by the OP that will capture those people from far and away, and keep them connected to a club.

Everyone had to have a first match sometime.

Even if we lose 99% of the fans, it'll be worth it for the 1% that stay and [strike]enjoy[/strike] cling onto the ride with the rest of us.

I am baffled that anyone could hate or even dislike so called glory supporters. They are essential to any club who wants to be a massive world wide name and they are what our owners targeted from the start.

They know we have a fantastic core support and it's on that we can build and become global.Along the way we should also increase ,many times over, our support within the UK and if some move on after a while sobeit but the challenge for City is to build and build and keep building till we are top of the world.

Wow what a thought.

Maybe hate is a strong word. However, i do dislike the kind of fans that make those at the swamp what they are. I am happy in my own support of the team, and agree that no matter when, or how you support city, as long as you're happy then good for you!

Then we can go back to 34,000 attendance and all those who were moaning about how the 'old days' were much better will get their bananas out again.

However, i think that enough progress will be made in turning us into a self-sustaining club that we wont have to worry about that problem.

We may fail to qualify for CL from time to time, but the days of relegation battles are long gone.

Never say never in football. I'm convinced that I'll see us relegated at least once more during our lifetime, might be a while yet but it will happen.

This is where FFP will protect us. Without it, the sheikh could have decided he couldn't be bothered with the hassle of making us profitable, as it was 'only' costing him £100m a season. Then something happens, our sugar daddy disappears and we're in trouble. FFP means he has to make us a sustainable business, so, as long as he stays long enough to do that, if he does go, he'll leave a business which can stand on its own two feet.

Yes, a sustained period of no success would seriously affect income and therefore the potential to be successful again - just ask Liverpool. But Platini's rules to keep us out have almost guaranteed we'll always be there. Cheers, Michelle.
