I would imagine we will keep the strikers we have now unless we get RVP or Cavani.
Also, if we do get Hazard, his goalscoring record is that of a striker with 20 goals in the league.
First reasonable answer.
I work under assumption that we sell Tevez. If we keep him, I don't think we need to add to strike force at all. RvP is a sicknote but might be worth the risk. I don't like Cavani. As good as he has been for Napoli, I think he'd struggle with pace of game in England + I don't think he suits our style that well.
Why do you write this Mr Pant? I would argue that pace is one of his best assets and he would be ideal.[/quote]
Pace of the GAME. The difference between Serie A and Premier League is massive and it often affects strikers most when making switch. Timing your runs, putting pressure on defenders up front, making yourself available for lightning fast counterattacks (this is where we are best in the league by the way). Cavani doesn't seem like particularily intelligent player but he is perfect fit for the way Napoli plays and executes his role for them extremely well. But could he adapt to a role in our system where he'd had to contribute more to creating chances for others and shit? I'm not sure. Mind you, I'm not saying he will be shit for certain. There's just something about him that makes me think he wouldn't succeed with us.
Someone mentioned Falcao and he is the kind of player I'm hoping for if we spend HUGE money on striker again.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?
