The way City play & the way teams have concentrated so hard tactically against us, I think the breakthrough goals in every game have been crucial. Nasri's opener v Spurs being a case in point as Spurs were being unusually stoical at the time (compared to the Swiss cheese defence that plays the rags twice every year).
Silva v Arsenal was an only goal and coming just after the ref inspired loss at Chelsea, was crucial from a positional & psychological point of view when you consider we dropped a load of points and got dumped out of the cups soon after. Take away those points and it would have been tough to come back.
