I took an exception that what Doug posted mainly because it has really bothered me for years now how Doug has potrayed Mancini and Hughes. If that post was by anyone else, I wouldn't have given a shit. Doug don't always quite seem to understand how many people actually read his training reports and therefore posts. There's a fine line with what he says as a fact and what is his own opinion. We have literally hundreds of people signed to this site, who don't even post, and who take his word as a gospel. And thousand million thanks to him for his training reports. It might not sound like that but I am extremely gratefull for them. He just needs to know the influence he has.
Re that topic, I hadn't been posting on it for few pages before rugby feller took, in my opinion, completely unwarranted exception to me. Had said what I had to say about the subject and that was that.
And looking it the other way, no one gives a shit if someone says Pearce is a clueless manager (which he is, mind) or Keegan's second stint at Newcastle was fucking embarrasing (which it was and long time posters will tell you that I am massive Keegan licker). But when it's about Hughes and his NEW club and how he is doing THERE, no one should say anything. I think that's pretty stupid honestly. Like you said, he is not here, everyone is happy with Mancini, then why the hell shouldn't people be able to discuss Hughes as a Premier League manager (I don't think he is good one by the way).
