I see Ted is using his eyes again. People ought to try it. This lad does nowt for me. Since beating the rags theyve looked like a pub team with pub players to me.

Most Spanish clubs are broke so will accept whatever is offered. Buy-out clause irrelevant if not invoked and, in any case, doesn't the clause just apply in Spain?

seriously?
I was drawn to believe he had been recognized as one of the most interesting talents in European football, well before they tarnished the rags.

I do agrre with You, an extensive use of Ted's look is always worth. I certainly do, almost always.

Not a great idea to buy reputations. He was fucking lost last night. The fact is its very difficult to predict development. A physically precocious 17 year old doesn't necessarily mature into the same at 23.Buy somewone whose doing it or buy cheaply someone who might do it. £25million for this lad is nonsense. All the players in his team now look like what they are.. a team of local lads who have been well coached but who have hit a brick wall. What we want to play with vince is a left sided player who as well as being physically dominant can bring the ball forwards and pass.Otherwise we need a decent 3rd choice who is better than Savic and Kolo.

I always regarded JM as a box to box midfielder, who can - eventually - play as CB. Never felt him as an improvement on Joleon rather than the only possible back-up to Yaya, when he naturally shall fade. I obviously not saying he is Yaya but, with a smooth development in the squad he is certainly the best option currently available to cover the hole that Yaya will leave in 3-4 years time. It goes without saying that having a valuable cover for Yaya shall lengthen his career as top performer.

Furthermore - on the CB issue - I do consider Lescott absolutely trustworthy (if not for concerns related to his knee) and I am not prone to mess up with the world best pair, adding pressure on him with the purchase of a third top CB pushing for a starting spot. I see the point of a long, demanding season (injuries, bans, etc.) but I am confident that when the need shall arise, we might use either Yaya (who won a CL final playing that role) or Javi Martinez as luxury replacement. Add some shouts given to Boyata in lesser demanding games and we have covered two roles with just one purchase and saved money with top value in return.

Martinez seems to me to be sought after because he is big. The same footballer at 5ft 9 wouldn't fetch £10 mil.

I don't wanna rise a further Wars of Religion on this Lad.
I stand by my believe but, if/when, this lad shall come in and prove very good, I won't strike back with "I told You so..."
I'll just claim for a pint at the soonest convenient occasion on a half time break in 110.

I'm not saying he can't do a job for City. He's a big unit who is decent at passing the ball, not bad at tackling and decent in the air. Playing in DeJong's role, he could be a bigger version with a better pass on him.

If relied upon to run up & down the pitch for 90 mins or face Drogba or Rooney at CB though; danger.
