On the bright side, at least now he won't get all the blame when we crash out at the group stage

That will be tough on him.I doubt he will have another major tournament in him as a regular starter. The prospect of watching england at the euros is getting less and less appealing

Good for England to bring Jagielka into the squad as they already have a world class midfielder to cover Barry in Duncan Jones. He is already deemed better than Micah at full back and now top class midfielder as well.

Unbelievable.

Unlucky gaz.

Hart
Johnson Terry Lesscot Cole

Wallcot Gerrard Parker Young

Carrol Defoe/rooney.

Not a terrible team by any means, unlucky baines as he's had a better season then cole and is the better player if you ask me but you know woy wont pick Baines ahead of Cole.
Rooney coming back will be aboost, i hope?
I'd go for either Gerrard or Lampard in the centre with Gerrard getting the nod.
Any more injurys and were doomed.
Still cannot get over the Johnson v Micha selection.

I was half expecting Micah Richards to have played at SoccerAid last night as an ex-england player! Maybe Gaz Baz & Micah will play at the 'Lympics!

Why the fuck would anybody have Gerrard ANYWHERE near the team???..hes fuckign shite these days and proved it against shitty Norway again.
Woy is a joke and has no fuckign idea whatsoever...........I hope Belgium batters us..and Kompany scores a blinder.

I used to love watching England and would never miss a match but nowadays I have no fuckign passion for them at all......its all the fuckign FA,s fault...clueless cunts all of them and that includes Bernstein.
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

Swap Jagielka for Terry, Milner for Gerrard and Oxlade-Chamberlain for Carroll and it is not that bad a team.

I feel for Gareth Barry. He has been really good for us this season and deserved his place in the England midfield. On the other hand, it is a nice rest and maybe it can help him push on for more medals next season.

Bringing in Jagielka suggests that Hodgson, like the rest of us, realises just how useless Jordan Henderson is.

So why the FUCK was he picked as a reserve in the first place?

It's a good thing, Gaz Baz needs a rest as I'm sure he's had niggling injuries all season, but why Jag's? If Jones is to cover for Barry who then covers for the currently injured Johnson?

England's best defender will cover both positions simultaneously.

Well pointed out :)

I'm disappointed though, the FA say they are looking for a manager to bring on all aspects of the England set-up, bring through young and hungry players, yet when they get a manager to do that they still pick the team that sells shirts. Pathetic really.
