Jose mourinho rates rodgers highly and took him to stamford bridge to work with him. He has only managed reading for 6 months before being sacked and then swansea. I think the liverpool job needed a big name to handle the egos and bring in the big name players they need to challenge.
Another screw up by John Henry IMO

I agree.

Scousers to be screaming for the return of King Kenny and new owners within six months.

Bugger, I was quite liking Rogers and wanted him to succeed with Swansea. Not now though, hope he fails miserably.

I thought shitapool were very good in the games they played against the big teams.
Remember when they played us in the cup they hammered us and won can't remeber the score.
Now they appiont a 1 season wonder in charge, what a crock of shit, these fools will be going down soon, i can see Swarez going the lot soon.

I somehow understand his decision. He and Martinez are young managers and Liverpool is still a big name you can add in your CV, however they might end up like AVB, with no offers.

Some interview he did when Mancini said the scum had 2 easy games....Rogers then bleated on about how fuckign ace the tramp and his team are..etc..etc..

I didnt like him after that interview.

On a side note - Rogers has been fucking shite at the clubs hes managed thus far in his career...he was a shite player , played for shit teams , career ended at 20 yrs old...fuckinghell,,just because he played some pretty footy going forward with Swansea people think hes a fucking managerial genius.

Shocking decision by the bindippers if you ask me.

I understand his reaction to Mancini's mind games as he was playing taggart but did disrespect swansea. They did well at the swamp and when young ran back with the ball for kick off after their second, he changed tactics and played keep ball, thus ending their hopes of closing the goal difference.

Will be interesting to see what he does with scouse....2 (surely they are 2nd now) he took over swansea from martinez who had them playing good stuff. He is now taking over from king clueless who played some dogshite football.

So if this is all part of a long term vision then its ok for pool to finish 7th next season?, or sixth? because I cannot see how they can finish higher than that...6th, for most sides in transition would be ok, but pool fans still think they are a big hitter in the league. They aint. Weve arrived, forced the door open, and spuds have sneaked in to take advantage of arsenals and liverpool weakness. Notice the "big 4" bullshit is no longer rolled out... Fenway group are not going to spend money here there and everywhere and rodgers will probably just have to get on with what he has...which is a decent first eleven but a squad ill equipped to put together the performances required to get into the top 4 again. liverpool bought really badly last summer...we were saying it at the time this isnt hindsight talking.

Like when we appointed Leslie, that is a job 2 years too soon for Rogers imo

Right, so I'm the only one that thinks they've just landed a very good young manager?

Fair enough.

No mate your not the only one, but would you be comfortable as a ceo of your company after serving half an apprenticeship where you were kicked out of one company for being shit but hen did pretty well in the next one and all of a sudden its zoooom from the shop floor to the boardroom.

Too much too soon for me. He has a good head on his shoulders but liverpool is massive. No matter how much we belittle them at the moment, the job comes with pressure that few other jobs can match. He has to produce, there is no 3 or 5 year plan, they are already frustrated at the amount of shit in recent years. King clueless got the boot and he won their first trophy for 6 years.

Poison chalice.
