no even close to a bench player if you compare him to the players we have right now.

Disagree completely. He'd make our bench semi regularly.

I quite like Kalou as from the bench change of pace player when you are behind. However we should aim to find starter(s) who'd replace someone on the starting line up and push good player to bench. That's how you improve squad.

One of the main weaknessess of Kalou is that he doesn't really click with other players. He is good one on one and scores his share of goals from the wings but is crap at crossing the ball and almost without an exception cuts in and shoots. We got excellent set of strikers who will put chances away. We need players who can feed them rather than someone who cuts in and does it himself.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

I would rather have Milner, AJ, and Balo alongside Dzeko on the bench than having Kalou instead one of them.

I'd also fancy our Suarez Lad as a fine addon

good shout.
I would too, possibly to Bilbao, partly because of Bielsa and partly to establish a preferential relationship with them...

I doubt they'd take him, not being Basque and all.
