Apparently.

Could have sworn Mancini would have wanted him?

Disappointed we weren't interested - top quality player and would have given us a new dimension.

Any word on the fee?

I still think that Lavezzi, Cavani & Hamsik were a quality front three, but not sure singularly if they'd have the same impact - ala Shevchenko - Rebrov

You may have a point there. Especially with hamsik. I think the combination makes him look better than he is.
But Cavani on the other hand will be a success wherever he goes next. Didn't like the lad at first as something about his appearance pissed me off but he is class player. Shame that his transfer fee would be ridiculous

And Lavezzi. Good player but I don't think he's world class really

Ah but which one out of Lavezzi, Cavani & Hamsik turns out to be Rebrov?

Might be a decent player, but how does he get in front of Tevez, Aguero, AJ, Silva, Nasri, AJ, Balotelli

Answer is he doens't so presumably that's why we haven't bid for him. Mind you didn't stop us bidding for Hazard which I didn't understand either.

I await Platinis condemnation of PSGs spending with baited breath. What will he do when a French club miserably fails FFP?

Hopefully Juve start spending big now they've made the big time.

And even though it's moot, I'd have Lavezzi ahead of all but Aguero, Tevez and Silva of those listed above. Not a slight against the others - who were all good to great this season - but I just think Lavezzi is a fantastic player.

I think our apparent lack of movement on this transfer, says to me that we're sticking with Tevez... towards the end of the season, when Tevez started getting his fitness back, we saw a glimpse of what an amazing front 4, Nasri, Aguero, Tevez and Silva is! And with Balo and Dzeko pushing for places and offering options, I think for attackers we're done... we'll sign another tricky player as back up for Nasri and Silva... another box to box midfielder, and a CB.

As for PSG - they're gonna spend crazy money this summer! Platini will suddenly get much quieter on this issue now that PSG are in on the act... aren't the new owners of PSG related to Mansour?

Wonder why platini is keeping quiet on PSGs spending, apart from them not being English. Didn't realise this http://www.totalfootballforums.com/forums/topic/75566-platinis-son-takes-up-role-with-psg-owners/

I've sent an e-mail regarding Platini and his sudden silence of FFP and spending in general but so far only got a machine-answer:

We thank you for your interest in UEFA.com and for taking the time to send us your feedback. Your comments and suggestions will help us to improve the website. Please refer to the links below for more information.

Your feedback:

Why is chairman Platini so extremely quiet about PSG and their mega money hence his hate for Manchester City? It doesn´t feel right. Is Mega money ok if it is for a french club one would wonder

I really don't think we're looking to sign anyone this summer

I do, all in good time though. Rather than the supermarket sweep dash of years gone by, this is more like the careful purchase of an exquisite timepiece to add to an already fantastic collection. Take time, do the research and choose wisely.

I don't know if I've said this before but I think we'll buy players out of the Olympics.

i think that the 3rd time I've seen you post that. ;)

It's not a bad idea, but how many players in the olympics who perform well actually go on to be world class?
(this is an actual question)
