I'm referring to what Khaldoon referred to in his end of season interview, that Mancini removed the pressure from the players, perhaps Khaldoon is off his head too, eh?
What game we would have won? I never said anything about a game we would have won.
I was answering another poster with that line...
No, the chairman isn't off his head. Mancini did all he could do when it reached crisis point and played our last chance down.
If you think his words in press conferences played a bigger part in the run in than tevez then you are absolutely off your head.
Why do you keep referring to a press conference?
I'm talking about Mancini taking the pressure off the players in the dressing room, something that Khaldoon referred to, that Barry referred to, that Silva referred to.
Khaldoon:
“I remember talking to Roberto Mancini after the game, just the two of us, and we both looked at each other and had this moment, ‘Let’s take it one step at a time, we can still pull it off but let’s take the pressure off everyone, the players.’
“That was a tough loss, but we still had six games left to go and if we could win them all, with a bit of luck, we could still pull it off.
“Roberto did a magnificent job in easing the pressure off the entire team and managing through one of the most amazing turnarounds, not just in football, but in sport.”
Barry:
"He's (Mancini) taken lot of the pressure off the players, that's worked really well for us. We've really raised our game since a couple of disappointing results."
Silva:
He has certainly taken the pressure off the players, which always helps because the pressure is always there between Manchester United and City. Yes, him taking the pressure off the players has really helped."
