Georgie Kinkladze was the most skillfull player we ever had or are likely to ever get again.

If you can find it, then watch a re-run of the Santander away game a match that typifies his laziness. Big Phil showed him the way it should be done.

I shall always remember the fall out from this game at the team hotel amongst practically the whole of the first team squad. This was also the first time I saw Gelson in talks about a move away, (Not that, that has any relevence.)

Think that Robhino was always well liked within the squad as an individual, but despised as a team player..

Wish we would have got rid sooner..

Funny that it was so obvious he was a lazy cunt that a fairly successful team like AC bought him and used him as much as anyone else.

Well it was, and is, obvious he was, and is, a lazy cunt & it's not just City fans who say so.

Carl is right btw. Kinkladze had more ability in his little toe than Robinho will ever have (and was also a lazy cunt).

Do I need running stats to tell me Paul Dickov worked harder than Jerry Creaney ?

No. But you probably would.

He's hardly been a huge success at Milan, unless of course you can provide some stats to the contrary.

Your last comment is a bit of a non-runner as well mate. Firstly you say that just because he didn't run around like Gelson doesn't make him lazy and then in your next breath you ask that some running stats be found to say he was. Well by your original comment that wouldn't prove anything.

So. How does that work then?

For me him getting a Seria A winners medal last year would suggest he has not been a failure there.
And the thing I was trying to say about the running stats was that until I see some proof like that I would find the argument to say he is lazy unfounded.Prove he is lazy with more than what you say.

Nice twist mate.

I didn't say he was a failure, I said he had hardly been a success. I think under Serie A rules you only have to appear in only 10 games to secure a medal, and you could have come on as a sbstitute in all 10. So how does that prove he's been a success at Milan.

Only when you provide some facts and figures regarding his on field performance for Milan will I consider a change of mind.

By your own admission, running stats do not prove anything to you, so I would suggest that for one you watch the Santander away game with your own eyes to see how lazy he was. In the mean time if I can think of any other games he was subdued in, then I will let you know.

Really don't want to argue with you mate everyone and me repects you on here but Robbie was one of my fav players and the stuff said about him I find annoying.

AC Milan Serie A Games Started 26
Games as sub 8
Goals 14
Assists 3

Some stats from his winning season 14 goals in 26 starts for a winger ain't to shabby IMO.

He's not really a winger, but I do agree with u that he's way over bashed on here.

How come defenders who don't get up and score aren't considered lazy? If all strikers have to track back why aren't defenders running up and down? I've never bought this argument to the extent most do.

Granted robinho was no Tevez like work horse, he also had to provide the bulk of our creativity so asking him to cover some of the donkeys we had back then is a bit much for me.

He was just a class above anyone else playing in the team, bar Ireland. We were never gonna get the best of him when he was playing with Jo or Benjani as a strike partner.

I'd argue the other way, without Ireland Robinho would have been a complete flop.

It also showed that Ireland is an amazing player with some quality around him. Such a great shame he and David Silva never got to hook up.

You have to be winding us up there? Ireland hasn't come close to that season before or after, robinho has stats like that regularly.

In fact the next season robinho was hurt and shipped out as we added more class and Ireland looked a disinterested lazy turd with more quality around him.

I'm not one for over the top statements Dazby, but I'd you actually believe that post it has to be the most ludicrous thing I've ever heard/seen you say.

Robinho and Ireland were a good combination, the whole being better than the sum of the parts and all that. Sometimes it happens. Players find someone who brings more out of them than perhaps even they thought they had. Dunne and Distin, Rosler and Walsh, perhaps even Elano and Michael Johnson.

I would like to see this at City now, as I do not think any two current players do this. It is kind of hard to plan though.

What has happened to Robinho after he left is Milan's business and not really something I have any interest in. He is a part of what the club has become, however big or small you consider that part to be.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

Re: Robinho leaving!!!!

Postby Niall Quinns Discopants » Mon Jun 11, 2012 6:31 am

Throwing any sort of stats to prove Robinho is fantastic player is bit pointless. On his day, when he is playing against weak fullback and given space + feels up for it, he is almost unplayable. When however opposition aren't buying his tricks and/or he doesn't feel like playing, he is absolute waste of space. And I mean it's literally like playing with ten men.

He served his purpose when we signed him and in a kind of team we were when he joined it was sort of alright to have some games off because he won some games on his own. But in a team like we have now, there would be no use for someone like him because as this season proved you need close to 90 points to win the league meaning there's very little room for taking games off.

Also, if you compare him to our current star player Aguero you see what's the difference between world class talent (Robinho) and world class player (Aguero). Even if Sergio is having an off game he is still constantly trying to get into scoring positions and indeed has popped with a winner numerous of times despite being anonymous most of the game. You never get that with Robinho.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?
