Fergie saying city wont win the title in my lifetime?
I cant find it on youtube anywhere.
Ted Hughes wrote:Dunno about that but here are some of his actual quotes, just for posterity & a good laugh.
It was one of those wonderful pieces of theatre which will be so missed when Sir Alex Ferguson has packed up his tracksuit and gone.
Someone had asked him whether Manchester United will ever go into a derby match as underdogs and for 15 seconds or more he eyed his inquisitor, the hint of a glint in those narrow eyes, and you wondered whether that individual or Manchester City would be on the receiving end of the full force of his opinion. "What time is it?" he said, at last. "I think it is time for me to leave." And as he clambered from his seat, an answer to that question... "Not in my lifetime."
It was such a measured and excellent response, a match for all the cool insouciance which has made Mark Hughes the winner of the phoney war which has been raging across Manchester all summer, that a part of you hoped that no-one would remind Ferguson that he couldn't leave the table just yet because there was another round of interviews to get through. They did. Back to the table he came.
And:
there was no lingering doubt about which opposition, Liverpool or Manchester City, he relishes most. "Liverpool will always be the derby game because of the history," he said. "When I came down here they were the king pins of England they had won four European championships. They had won quite a few league titles in that period from Bob Paisley, Joe Fagan to Kenny [Dalglish]. My aim was to do well against them. To try and turn that round. It's hard for me to go against history. The history is there with Liverpool."
It was eloquence of a kind only Ferguson, with his vast footprint over three decades of the English game, can offer among managers.

Fergie: This is the only time Mancini will be above me this season!

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has taken the pre-season rivalry with the Blues to new heights – after making a cheeky dig at the City boss as he signed into a new airport lounge.
Suave Italian Roberto Mancini was the first to sign the guestbook in the airport's new £1.7m executive lounge when he unveiled a plush new heated leather chair emblazoned with the City crest.
Days later Fergie went to sign the book as he and his team checked into the lounge before flying out for their tour of the United States.
And it prompted the Reds boss to joke that it would be the only time City would be above his team.
An onlooker said: “The United boys were all on good form and were relaxing in the lounge before their flight to Chicago.
“When approached with the book, Fergie was more than happy to sign it but he then saw Mancini's signature at the top of the page and joked 'it's the only time I'll be below him', before signing it.
“It was pretty funny – just good banter really and there were a few smiles when he made the comment.”
The guestbook now has pride of place in the £1.7m Escape Lounge in Terminal One.
It's already proved something of a crowd-puller with football fans flocking to take pictures of it and write their own messages next to the managers'.
And City fans who have the cash to get into the Terminal One lounge can try out the sky blue seat while waiting for their flight over the next month.
The chair is 44ins tall and warms up in less than two minutes.
Chiefs have revealed that 240 of them have been installed at Eastlands as part of the club's £1.5m transformation of corporate hospitality areas.
The heated seat installation comes just two months after City converted a lift at the airport into a deluxe platinum box to give supporters a taste of the luxury on offer for VIPs at the stadium.
The lift, in Terminal Three, had its stainless steel walls replaced with bright, floor to ceiling graphics and walnut panels displaying pictures of City legends.
