Perhaps. It is all about views. I have been very impressed with him.
The Mercer Allison team won more trophies but the Tony Book team of the 1970's was better in my opinion. Mancini is at a different level from what I have seen watching City since the days of Les McDowell.
It is hard to compare different eras and circumstances. Winning trophies is one measure where Mancini is already not far behind the best and wins hands down if you include his time in Italy. He has more money but is competing on a bigger stage. I put him up with Mourinho as a modern age winner but concede that the comparison might well be a tad premature.
