A great season (my favourite defender) and played a decent game tonight. How good was he, not just for England?

He had an excellent game against France and took his goal well. Good to see him carrying on from where he left off with his performances in a City shirt this season

totally agreed.
this season the klingon has been the best defender of the league bar none, including the true best which is our trueborn skipper.
he still miss . sometimes - a bit of "total focus" throughout a whole game to become a world class. It almost caused me an heart failure on a certain date last may.

I have already expressed my sentiments on that I would not swap nor change our pair with no one.
well deserved pride for him.

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

be honest...did he "score a header" or did "the ball smash into the back of the net off his face as he fell over"?

i'm leaning like 60% towards the latter after watching it like 4x.

cheers

Ha ha carl didn't disappoint.

Lescott has shaken off that hefty price tag now, in fact, dare I say he's probably worth what we paid based on this season for club and country!

it took him a bit i guess, but i'm not 100% sure why some on here are pushing for "a new partner for VInny"...best CB pairing in the league imho. We need cover, that's for sure, but i'm 100% comfy with them together for the next 3-4 years.

Is playing the best I've ever seen him. Haven't seen the replay of the France game yet, though.
Did he fall flat and get lucky?

It irritates me that he is seen as back up for England by the wider football community and media in this country. he should be the no.1 choice and the question is "who will partner Lescott"
Really pleased for him that his goal and all round performance got some wider recognition yesterday.
City and sniffing knickers.

One of the most underrated players in the country, followed by Barry.

My mates slate me cos im always banging on about lescott and they claim i know nothing when i say he has been our best defender this season.

He is what he is, Joleon a no nonsense defender, he wont spray a ball 50 yards or take it on the volley but he will man mark and defend like his life depends on it and will nick a goal or two. Cant ask for much more. if thiago silva is going for 40million, then the 20 we paid for him seems like a fair price.

Also i got him at 40s yest in the england game so im doubly happy!
derby day the scores were level,
then the goat was fed by neville,
silly boy should know for sure,
feed the goat and he will score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can anyone remember what match he scored the header that just hit him and went in?

I've been wanting to show the missus for ages.
