can't see anything anywhere about it.

i'm [strike]not[/strike] sure that's the best thing for other teams hoping to unseat Spurs in the top 4....

why sack him after what was arguably a great season? Top 4. Unlucky not to get CL. If yr Spurs you should feel good about that i think. Played some good football, some uneven as well, but...Top fucking 4 finish. Not easy.

EDIT: Spurs won't do better than they did with Harry if they sacked him. That was my point. fixed now.

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has told ESPN that he has not resigned from his job at White Hart Lane after rumours suggested he had quit on Tuesday.

Speculation in the media over the weekend reiterating the crisis point over his contract talks with chairman Daniel Levy led to more suggestions on Twitter that he was ready to walk out on his club, but the Spurs boss was bullish when asked about the rumours.

Redknapp told ESPN: "No, I haven't resigned, and I have no idea why it is being suggested that I have resigned.

"This is an outrage; an absolute liberty for people to be putting around this kind of rumour on the internet. It is not true, there is not a chance I will resign. Why should I? I have a year left on my contract."

However it is now common knowledge, as ESPN has already revealed, that talks on Redknapp's part, with new agents hired for the specific task of negotiating an improved deal, have stalled with no offer from Spurs beyond his current contract.

That contract has just one more season to run and Redknapp has been suggesting that he should be given a new three-year deal to provide stability and continuity within the club at a crucial time, as they try to recruit new players and keep stars such as Luka Modric, Rafael van der Vaart and Gareth Bale.

A number of hacks on Twitter seem to think it is only a matter of time before he is shown the door, some saying within the next 24 hours.

probably has said that they can't go anywhere without massive investment, while the board were thinking of how to get the most out of selling modric/vdv/bale.

Harry seems to be a good man motivator, but then again, the amount of players at spurs that will never ... ever ... get a look in while harry is there is fairly large. I don't think there is anything special at all about his tactics, and I think that was shown quite clearly when he tried his stupid experiments to have bale in the center and play with wingbacks or some other equally stupid ideas.

To me, harry is the definition of a 442, 'your a striker, your center midfielder, and your right wing, you know how to play the positions so go out and play them', type of manager and if spurs do want to progress, they will need someone with a bit more elegance and subtlety to take them there. Harry did his job, spurs are on the map, but they won't be anything special with him still there ... and also without a 25m striker subsidized by their rivals.

That's the thing, clearly I'm not the only one who thinks 'Arry isn't actually doing the splendid job media claims he is doing. I believe that with world class manager who can adjust tactics and prepare players properly, they'd actually be doing better.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

I think Redknapp was quoted somewhere as saying that, essentially, football tactics are just continental bullshit. VDV said it was a nice change from the hours of analysis they'd do under Mourinho - now teamtalks are pretty much of the 'watch out for number 7, he's a quick little fucker' variety.

They'll most likely give the job to exactly the wrong man.

If I'm right about Harry though, if he does stay on, it'll all start to go pear shaped anytime soon & end in acrimony. He's a boom & bust manager.

Spurs would be mad to get rid of Twitchy imo ... for all his faults, he's consistently got them to their highest league places in many a year. We've all seen what happens when you chop and change the manager ever couple of years (or months in our case once upon a time). I ain't fussed either way thou, it's what we do that matters to me

Imagine if Bob had [strike]got away with[/strike] been found not guilty of defraudinmg the tax, right at the key point of the season, then immediately been involved in the media circus re England, refusing to commit to his club, whilst his team (wrongly thought to be title challengers), had slumped below their neighbours who they were taking the piss out of 6 weeks earlier, finally missing top 3 which seemed nailed on.

Would he have our support now ?
