He's been superb once again. Nothing like the poor player that we had for a year.

Just to mention, for all his talent I wouldn't touch Robben with a barge pole. Complete individual. Shot on sight in the first game and went missing tonight when his team needed him.

And now gets needlessly booked. Or was it on purpose to miss a game that they don't need him for.

Gomez was clinical tonight but far from clinical v Chelsea.

Dutch remind me of England with Beckham, Lampard Gerrard etc. Star players playing for themselves & the team coming a big second.

Muller was insipid yet again. Hope to Christ we don't swap Dzeko for him; not fit to lace Dzeko's boots.

I don't think so mate.

As for Holland, how they can still play van Bommell I don't know. Nige looked totally dejected in the middle and didn't seem to get into his stride until vB went off. He has no faith at all in BvM.

Very difficult for a player like Nige when the team has no discernable tactical plan. He's just stood about in an open space like the Dutch defence. Thought he did well later in the game & also passed the ball with a lot of purpose when anyone could be arsed moving to receive the ball. Right fucking mess the Dutch team though.

I've got a lot of Dutch mates but I can't bring myself to wind them up as they'll be gutted & are dead nice.

It's been a cracking tournament so far, but then the Euros always are compared to, say, the World Cup, as the wheat has already been sorted from the chaff (RIP, 2012).

I particularly enjoyed the way Italy played v strikerless Spain and think that they should've won the game. England were cautiously organised and can easily beat the other two teams in the group, which of course they won't.

Until tonight no one really stood out as contenders but the Germans' first half performance was ruthless. Bit disappointed with the Dutch. They kind of reminded me of City when YaYa went away, good individually but with absolutely nothing in midfield.

The perv-cam has been on high alert as usual, finding each nation's top football strumpet during lulls in play. Oddly enough didn't find any English though...

where they'll prollee tonk the tranny and his mates 4-1 but still not move on. Why the fuck van Marcock had to pull a Mancini with two defensive minded mids vs Denmark was beyond me. Fucking retarded. And then he does it again today when he KNOWS they need to take the hinges off and throw some doors around the house. Fucking stupid. They must be losing their minds with him. i heard a stat that he's only lost 6 of his 50 matches in charge...today would be number 7. Hard to argue with results, but really he needs to move along. He'll be sacked for this performance. That dutch team is still young, and vibrant enough to be a source of pride and not a fucking gutless, fearful troop of noncommunicative pussy ass bitches. Horrible day at the office for them....Sad.

haha yeah, dutch defense was horrible.
& fully agree with the second part, too many egos running around without much of a plan. saw de jong break a few critical plays tho, & was glad to see him stay cool throughout even tho some of his teammates started to look like they were giving up, or maybe im biased.

Just watched the Germany v. Holland game. Germany looked really good but the back 5 for Holland looked like shit.
Gomez is continuing his great form and man, Bastian is really good.

And that is literally the exact same thing i was thinking. Robben is way too selfish and such a fucking prima donna baby.

It will be fucking crap when they add teams. And sure, I know that sounds funny from a Finnish feller as this MIGHT give us chance to qualify SOMETIME in future but bollocks to that. Should've kept the best international tournament as it is.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Its been a great tournament so far long may it continue!

Have to say if i could have one player that isnt messi or ronaldo at city i think it would be schweinsteiger, he is exactly what we need and is a master in it, he would be great for us.

On a side point, the left back from holland Willems produced the worse individual display i have seen at the euros so far last night, in fact its as bad an individual display as i have seen in a while, i know hes only 18 but my god he was atrocious looks totally shattered in terms of confidence, it will be a long way back for him i would imagine.
derby day the scores were level,
then the goat was fed by neville,
silly boy should know for sure,
feed the goat and he will score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been saying that for ages, last time only few days ago! He may not be flashy but my god he keeps any team he is playing for going. Schweinsteiger with Yaya would be as close to Xavi and Iniesta as you can possibly get.

Dzeko + dosh could do it. We could get new striker elsewhere and Bayern could justify it to their supporters. Schweinsteiger plays for his local team though so I'm not sure he would ever agree to leave Bayern.

It didn't help that Mathijsen, the centre back who played beside him, was criminally bad last night. If you throw and 18 year old defender in to the deep end against a lethal Germany, you need someone next to him who can instill some confidence in him and tell him how to run and play.
