Sublime finish and it looked like he had something to say before he was mobbed.

Mario went to start mouthing to the manager by the look of it... Team mates told him to shut it. Even when he does the right thing he has to act like a petulant little twat.

Top finish though.

Looking at both those game, I'm disappointed. Not because of the games themselves as I've enjoyed every game so far and it's understandable why teams who should go through get a bit edgy in the final group game; one goal can take them out with these rules, just take Greece/Russia for an example.

What I didn't like was seeing the referee's giving decisions that can decide games. Take your pick, there were the slightest of touches against the Spaniard's that were given but desperate fouling challenges against the Croat's that were deemed as fair. Irish players sent off for next to nothing but given ball's all when they're on the attack.

I don't like seeing things like this (and I do trust my peeper's), even more so that it always goes for so called bigger teams; even thoough I wanted them to both go through.

Spain vey lucky imo. Croatia with 3 or 4 great chances.
Encouraging for the runners up in England's group.

He needs to fucking grow up - fast. He keeps acting like a petulant twat, then apologises, says he won't do it again and then lo and behold he acts up again. Prandelli was right to drop him for tonight's game because he was shit in Italy's first two games, especially against Spain where he was one on one against Casillas and dithered too long, thus wasting a gilt edged chance. Has a lot of talent but I fear that he will never fulfil his potential unless he changes his attitude. So far the signs do not look good

I was lipreading him, and he told him to 'fuck off' several times, and called him 'a fucking wanker'. In English.

As for Balotelli. He's on another planet.

What was funny was that he actually picked him back up.

If Mario, hadn't scored, surely that would have a penalty. Would the Ref. have given it ? The same happened in the Spain /Croatia game when Corluka was hugged by Ramos or Brusquets but nothing was given. OK that was Spain, so they're allowed !
Back to Mario, I thought he might turn on O'Shea and do something stupid but he totally ignored him as he had more important things on his mind which Motta (I think) nipped in the bud .

I don't think he was shit at all in Italy's first two games, I thought he was the spearhead of their team & did a perfectly good job.

He does need to grow up though.

This next season is his last chance & if he's still behaving like that now, is he going to be a reformed character by August ? Mancini is watching that. Will he be impressed with the finish & looking forward to seeing more of it, or considering whether he should cut his losses rather than put up with more shit ?

On a side-note, why do Spain get an immediate freekick when a challenge comes in yet the teams they play get nothing for the same challenge?

Because they're Barcelona 2 and it's stipulated in the UEFA rule book?

And that tackle by Ramos, under the 5th officials nose (shows that they are only there for goal line decisions)? That's a card in anybody's league.

Don't like agreeing with Hansen but Ramos just gets a toe end on the ball first

Forgot to mention: Spain's manager is a dour, potato headed cunt, who is lucky to have such players to fuck about with.

Alan fucking Ballio.
