How bad will it get

For me the season that has just passed with us ending up as CHAMPIONS was probably the best I have had as a fan.The only thing that made me doubt what was happening was the paranoia on here which towards the end was getting to me.This season I think its going to be worse. A lot more people have reason to dislike us.
What I would like to know is,are people still as paranoid?

On the contrary, I think more people will start to like us now. When Chelsea were first taken over by Abramovich, everyone was up in arms about them 'buying' the league, but after they'd won a few trophies people accepted them as part of the elite. Now, I'm not saying they are universally loved but the money thing isn't such an issue anymore.

With us, I think the same will happen. But because of the type of football we're playing and the popular players we have too (e.g. Hart, Kompany, Aguero), I think we won't get such a raw deal from the media and other fans.

A lot depends on how we conduct ourselves. Maureen and Baconface didn't do a lot to win people over with their posturing/bullying/lambasting of refs, etc.

Bobby comes over much better in my (unbiased) opinion. The green eyed monster will still be lurking though.

A lot of it is media driven. Now that we are Champs the media will change their tune.

We saw a lot of goodwill when we won, we can build on that.

As Sheikh it all about says, perception of MCFC will be influenced by how we conduct ourselves, especially at this early stage in the project. PR has been very good so far.

There will always be begrudgers and the likes but who cares really? So in answer to the original question; No.

Most of the media are rags scousers & southern biased. They will continue to do the same but there is an increase in City friendly media in case you haven't noticed. Hinchcliffe & Quinny now work fo Sky. This is not a coincidence.

You'll be right, they will start sucking City dick once we win 5 in a row and there is no choice. Remember these wankers in the press blow the way of the prevailing winds, nothing more.
