Yeah, I know, why do we get or own thread.

The last quarter final, a big game, not too confident and can see Mario having a stormer. Saying that, he's going to have to deal with Jimmy Milner and shouldn't be prone to falling on his arse against his team mate. Will that make him play football instead of looking at the ref, I'm not sure.

It's a toughie, do you think we/England can get through?

Why do we do it, everytime. We've started talking penaltes, we've started talking up our chances, finals, dare we dream.

Always seems a bad omen when these cliches come out.

I think keeping Pirlo out of the game could be key for England hes still running the show for them.As usual no idea what to expect from Mario.

How old is Pirlo, he's been around for an age? The Italian's do know how to keep them young.

same and moreso would apply to England, Mate: stop Gerrard with a proper enforcer instead of the slow Motta, and that fleeble light is switched off. Italy would still have lesser additional sources in Marchisio and Montolivo (eventually), while You hardly can expect the same from Scotty Parker, whose sole talent is to share the same surname of Spiderman and from Jordan Handerson.
almost sure Prandelli is gonna bottle it with some weird choice.

One said that, I couldnt care less. just hope for an improbable entertainment and no injury for every Blue Lads involved.
My fair wishes of good luck to all of You who care of England National Team.

He's a cracking player but thought he was nearing his 40s. Hard paper-round and all that.

I'm hoping for a good fair game. Really looking forward to it and it should be quite close comparing the teams and other games. It could be shit though, both teams cancelling each other out.

Good luck though mate, whoever wins will be getting the best team in the competition, in my opinion.

unlike the fucking pathetic debacle that we just saw between spain and the surrender monkeys, i think that England-Italia is going to be a supremely entertaining match.

If we let Rooney drop deep enough to affect our midfield and allow Young into the centre we've got more threat than just Gerrard. Young coming central would allow Cole to support the attacks from wide as well. Line up as 4-4-2 on paper but play with a packed midfield just wide enough to keep Italy's wingbacks quiet.

Hmm! Just a thought: if Italy do well then Bobby won't be called on to manage the national team. Just sayin'.

Mate,
there's more chance for me to become a member of the Windsor Family than Bobby to choose Italy NT ahead of City, I promise You. He'll stay in Manc as long as HH the Sheikh would please.
also he's never been that popular among the Italian FA top rooms, nor with the most influential italian journos.

Well said. He's always been too much his own man to be popular with a national association and difficult to see him being tempted by international management until much later in his career. I fucking hope not anyway :D

I hate to say this as an Englishman, but I hope Mario has a fucking blinder (but not when Lescott is marking him), shoves everyone's words up their arses, scores goals etc but then England win.
