Milner played not bad, but take the man city glasses of-all his passes in into the box were crap-no good ball fit the strikers to use

You mean like the gilt edged chance he set up for Johnson early on? Or that ball he knocked across the 6 yard box but both the red muppets went for the same ball 2 yards out!

Watchin Young I found myself yearning for the days of Tricky Trev's England displays, lol. That said, I'd like to have a word in James M's ear, something along the lines of"you're not a kid anymore, show some feckin composure for both City and England and stop letting yourself down"

I think this is where you guys need me ahaa
Young and Milner were both class but milner was the best hands down.

Milner started off on the wing and moved to the middle ( which his best postion is ) so he was very valuable to us. I was also delighted with what we gained from you lot in Ireland and a wad of cash... shame most of it went on bent and irelands the biggest flop (eu).

Young was always a class player but hit bad patches and i think at utd he doesnt fit their system aswell. Never mind the expectation he has to live up to... i think hes did okay at utd and at england but seems he has hit more bad patches than good recently. I was a little dissapointed we had him for a long time then he mentioned that he might not sign a new deal in his last year. So we offloaded him to utd for a supposedly 16-18m mark.

Irrelevant of how good they are they are both so much better than downing... how he got to the euros and adam johnson hasn't is beyond me.

The annoying thing is had AJ got picked he would have definately had a run out in a few of the games. Hodgson clearly finaly realised how shit Downing actually is hence no game time.

Having lectured City on "title winning experience" back in March, Im sure Mr Young will today be interviewing with Gazetto Dello Sport to lecture them on taking penalties in shoot-outs.

His pen summed up his 4 games in the tournament - big run up, but complete failure.

Welcome, nice to have an unbiased view !

Young is one of those players, like Jermaine DeFoe, who can produce brilliance but often doesn't. He's a squad player for a top 4 team imo. Milner really gets the shit end of the stick. We signed him because he played brilliantly for you lot in centre mid, then we play him mostly wide, same with England. He has had a few great games for us in centre mid too but he rarely gets a sniff.

Tbf that's partly because he needs to go up a level as a footballer if he's going to take a spot off Silva or Yaya & needs to read the game better if he's to have DeJong or Barry's job.

The gilt edged chance? That was a poor cross which hit the first man and fell kindly. Milner just about mishit every cross in the tournament. Great center midfielder, mid table right winger.

The cross which Milner put in for Johnson was a corker. It was a classic rag cross of the sort Giggs uses. When the oppo are expecting it curled round the back, you just prod it in right along the deck, through players' legs, off their shins, so the ball pings around the 6 yard box. Valencia does it all the time. It was great to see Milner learning the trick. He also played a great ball in for Rooney which was well defended & in the 1st game, landed one right on that spastic Wellbeck's head 6 yards out.

From the limited ampunt of attacking done by England, Milner can be very happy to have created several chances. I see his replacement Walcott failed to add to the 5 seconds of quality he produced in the whole tounament.

The Walcott myth really annoys me.

Cant wait for the new season to start as international football bring out the fucking morons. Idiots who hardly watch a game all season trying to tell the nation who should be in the team.

Walcott's '5 seconds of quality' led to a goal and assist and turned the game around.
He poses far more of a threat than Milner does.

Neither.
To be a quality right winger you either need pace and dribbling ability or be a bloody good crosser. Milner has neither. I don't think walcott's great, I just think he poses more of a threat.

Take your blue tinted specs off, him and Young have been shite the whole tournament.

Milner was playing as a right sided midfielder. Just because he's on the right doesn't necessarily mean he's playing as a winger. Silva or Nasri play on our right but neither of them perform a winger's role.

As for Milner being shite, I disagree. He's not been very good but far from shite. Young on the other hand.....

I don't wear specs myself.
