Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

It pisses me off when people say last year when we became CHAMPIONS and the Prem was weak.It can't have been that weak considering what chavski did and we beat them.
As far as I am concerned it was weaker the year before.
We were exceptional in a strong league anybody who says otherwise is talking a load of Chinners.
As much of a rant you'll get of me.

I think a large proportion of it was rags attempting to give themselves a bit of a chin-up/excuse as to why winning the league wasnt such a big deal for us this season. Even though they had one of their highest points total's to date. However, there were a lot of non-rags saying it too. Probably down to City and Scums showing in the CL (and consequently the Europa) and the fact we were the top 2 teams in England; but as we know - anything can happen in cup competitions and it was clear that the league was top priority for both teams.
Chelski finished 6th yet beat Barca and Bayern Munich to win the Champions league.
(Sidenote)It also winds me up when people constantly jizz over how Barca are the best team in the world ever, yet came second to Madrid in the league and went out to Chelsea in the Champions league semis. Dont get me wrong.. they're a fantastic side but i think its extremely disrespectful to Maureen and his lot to disregard their finishing position as a reason why Barca are only the second best team in Spain.

If the league was so easy this year what does it say about the other teams that did not even manage to win it? Or about the teams not able to make top four?
If it was so easy to win, how crap were the rags then?!

It was weaker than usual, near the top anyway. It's illustrated by liverpoo, cheski and arse's poor return. Even scum under performed (however with decisions/cheating they managed to return a decent points tally).
You could argue that the league was more open with mid/lower teams doing well against top teams, hence league was more competitive.
It will be much tougher next season. Bring it!

Or the other way to look at it is that the "lesser" teams were actually stronger than previous years.

Think that is spot on and gives us the credit we deserve.

You put barca in the prem and we would finish above them. SUPERFACT.
