These are the texts I sent to my Tracy on that wonderful day.

Haha.

Bloke who's been sat near me both at the Et & since the Kippax became seated at Maine Rd said "I really thought we'd finished with this kind of shit", & I agreed, about 20 secs before Dezko scored. Three & a bit mins later we were jumping around like demented chimps

These little stories are what I like. Excellent, and will be setting the scene for generations to come.

A United 'mate' of mine texted me 10 minutes before the end of the game saying "You're not gonna bottle it are ya?"

I show him the text every time I see him.

Ha ha ha, it's the little things. My step-son is a Rag who sent me a text to congratulate me on our win. That was the last I heard of it and I didn't see him for 2 weeks afterwards even though we live in the same house!

A couple of weeks ago, I saw a couple of workmates for the first time since 13th May. They're proper football fans (Forest and Southampton) and they wanted to know how I felt when Aguero scored, I mean how it really felt and what it meant to me.

I was stumped, I didn't where to start with that. How do you explain what we've been through down the years and the painful rivalry with the rags and how bad it all was until The Goal. To get to a point where you've explained those feelings, you've got to cover a lot of ground. In my head I kept going further back for start point.

In the end I had to give in and say it was indescribable...well what words are there to explain it anyway? It's beyond amazing and emotional, that's just how I've felt every day since, but at the time of the goal? I don't know.

I just wish there was a camera on me and those around me so I can actually see how we reacted. I remember a few bits from maybe 15 seconds later, the hugs from everyone around, then my pal collapsing to his knees and bawling like a baby, but I was lost for those first few seconds. That's probably why I couldn't explain it, I was just too feckin stunned.
