How many of the hundreds of thousands (millions?) of people that are calling for Beckham in the squad do you think have watch a single minute of an LA Galaxy match this year?

The thing is, they don't fucking care.

Not one of them is asking for Beckham for football reasons, even the punters who phone in, they just want to look at him & reward him for winning fuck all with England, being sent off & missing pens etc. Why they assume the Scots, Welsh & Irish also want to reward him, I've no idea. Some of their comments are just as bad though; should have had a few token Scots etc, even if they're not good enough.

It's incredible how these people just want a jolly where they can wave at Beckham warming up, watch wee Angus McTavish tripping over his own feet & just generally treat the whole thing like a fucking exhibition match.

Pearce is treating an Olympic competition with the respect it deserves & is going to try his best in it, wherever the team finishes, which is the whole fucking idea.

This whole "what Beckham did for England thing" - OK then, with him in the team and then captain we entered the 98, 02 and 06 World Cups, and the 00 and 04 Euros. How did we do in those? I cant recall so much as a semi-final in there so what exactly did he do with Engand that merits the esteem in which he is held?

Looks to me like he achieved the square route of fucl all as an England player.

People like Beckham, Gerrard, Lampard have let down the whole of English football imo. You could add Scholes & Michael Owen to that & Rooney is following on in the same tradition. These guys could have stood together & run the fucking show. Mostly it's the rag & scouse cliques rivalry that stops it.

England have had decent defenders, ok keepers, young fringe players & clever pros like Barry to back these fucking people up. That generation should have been miles better than Germany, they are better players. Champion's League winners, multi trophy winners, guys who've beaten every top side in the world & every top player in the world who are so up their fucking arses that they don't even sit together at meal times (we have now found out), it's the rags sat at one table, the scousers at another & the cockneys at another. What a bunch of fucking cunts.

If they can't even sit together, what fucking chance is there of them playing together ? Would they knock 5 yard passes to each other to open up a defence like Spain do ? Would they fuck. Party pieces all the time, glory balls; each tying to show how he's better than the guy next to him. Would Beckham Allow Gerrard or Scholes to run the show like Italy do Pirlo ? No fucking chance, he'd be stood in front of him making himself look indispensable & giving the fucking ball away, then charging about like a headless chicken trying to get it back so everyone can see how much he cares.

These blokes could have got together & fucked off all the Keegans & Svens & just said 'we're doing it like this', they had the power, but they can't even eat cornflakes together. It's all about their rivalry not the national team. Rags & scousers are the fucking bane of English football & that big shite Beckham is the epitome of that.

Wankers the lot of them. Thank Christ for City, we'll sort it out in the future, just watch.

Rant over.

He also stated that Beckham had looked really poor (and this is in the MLS don't forget) and that he has looked way off the pace, contributing to LA G's poor start.

Now, armed with the above interview you'd think that people would begin to think that actually, Beckham shouldn't be there because if we are to take this serious, he's currently not the quality a side would need if they wanted to go for Gold. But no, even after the interview it didn't seem to matter and instead they carried on with the assassination of Micah and Pearce...

Not only has he been shite, Pearce has gone out there personally to witness him being shite - like a manager/coach should do when he's picking on merit rather than past reputation. Not too sure what the knobheads are expecting really, maybe a three man midfield of the geriatric underwear model, Prince Will-i-am and Seb Coe (since they ALL played their part in bring the games to London).

That's all that counts and the first XI should be as follows;
Tessa Jowell
Zara Philips - Boris Johnson - Prince Harry - Lord Coe
Beckham - Prince William - Simon Clegg - Ken Livingstone
Tony Blair - Stella Macartney
Manchester : New York : Melbourne : Yokohama

Oops, Blair seems to be slightly right of centre on my line up but "hey ho" as Captain Boris the Cunt would say.
