Apologies for being secretive, except to say that it's mad hatter connections....

just received an email about rip van winkel, who, quite frankly , i do not want to see in the blue of Man City, certainly not after the way he wiped his nose in Zoro like fashion and give us the 'V' sign two years ago....., ( i don't forget these things)

bring on Edin i say .... already a pl champion , what has rvp done for the Romans ?

any way ... here goes

lads,

Just had drinks with Dirk Kuyt at the Pool bar, of the Hyatt Hotel in Aruba. Van Persie was here for two weeks up until yesterday with Kuyt and their respective families and has had no negotiations or discussions with any other team except Arsenal. Dirk was with RVP when he updated his Web site yesterday to confirm his exit from Arsenal, but said that any talk of where he is signing is "100% paper talk".

I asked him about De Jong and he confirmed he is a super cool, real friendly guy.
So here's the latest on RVP, in case you're following newspaper sites in the UK...

i hope he doesn't come to City

If a big name player is looking for a move it's an easy story for the media to write.

Although Mancini hasn't refuted the rumours yet.

When it comes to strikers, our focus now should be on getting Guidetti a loan move to a good Prem club and somehow getting rid of RSC and Adebayor.

Bloody hell Z, drinking with the stars eh? Hopefully you'll have calmed some of the rumours now but they'll still be the usual crowd who will find some light in it.

I wonder what Mr Morgan will say about it ;-)

loan to Arsenal as a sweetener?
Never criticise a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes.
That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.
And you'll have his shoes.

He is a great player, no one cant deny that.

But we are not about 11 individuals, we are about a team of 11 men who become better as a team than as their sole components.

Just like scum in the last 2 years.

People doubt it because RVP is very unlikely to fit into the current team, therefore actually weakening us.

He already said he wants to be the focal point, he will want to play in every game he is fit for. If he didnt actually mean that and he is happy to be rested against the shitty teams etc, then fair do's. I think we can all see even from this far away that he is a wanker.

To be fair Crossie, he did play as part of the Arsenal team - 'Give it to Bloody Robin' - it was just that the team played for him.

If he did come to us he'd definately bring something extra, there is no doubting that, but I can't see it happening personally.

I'd prefer him to go off to Juve but can see him ending up in Spain with his old mate Fabregas. His recent comments have Barca stamped all over them, probably trying to get him for pennies.

One to note though is how Arsenal have handled this again, allowing players to run their contracts down. One could be led to believe that this is actually a tactical ploy to sell off players for a huge profit whilst making it look like the player is forcing their hand. Once is a mistake, more than that is very suspicious.

Who's next, Theo?

I'd rather us sign him next season- on a free. Much cleaner that way.

We'll also have a better idea next season as to where our fab four strikers are at.

And I'd rather sign Messi on a free. Not happening, is it. After that statement on his website there's no way back for him, he's leaving them this window and that's that.
