I liked the made up one better. That looks like a bad keeper's shirt.

Much as I love the old West Gorton kits, I cannot envision our owner ever sanctioning the return of the Maltese cross and its (albeit vague & tenuous) connotations with the Crusades.

not mad on the socks but like the shirt and shorts, might have to get it from thailand though as we are changing them far too quickly for my pocket to keep up, ive barely worn last seasons yet!

Socks are better than that Dr Suess crap we had last year.

Things I know so far in regards to the new kits.

1) The Home Kit is cooler than the other side of the pillow.
2) The Away is growing on me and is really starting to look like a winner.
3) The Third looks like that horrid Rags away kit last year.

Don't like the home shirt the more I look at it the more I realise that i hate it. Badge is fucking horrible and looks ironed on. It would be fine with our proper badge. Bit of advice for kit designers. You are being asked to design a kit with our badge on not fuck with our badge you arrogant pricks. Fuck off back to topshop you CUNTS.

The away looks like a training top.

The third (if that is the third) is the best one of the three. How the fuck is the third kit that never gets worn the best one?. Who let that happen? Have we re-hired fucking cook?.

The overall winner and only one I really like and will definitely be buying is the away keepers kit which is fucking beautiful but they don't bother making keeper kits for kids which is nice of them so I can't get my lads the best one, cheeeeeers city. Don't mind taking my money for a kids season card though do you.

Why are the kids kits half arsed? They aren't the same as the adults and look like cheap market rip offs only there not cheap. There fucking £60.

I wasn't expecting horrible kits, poor quality and to be ripped the fuck off until next season by Nike.

Whatever.

I do agree about the whinge about the cost of the kids shirt. It seems about 10 bucks too expensive to me. However, I I disagree with pretty much everything else you wrote about the kits there.

Also, I don't believe Nike are going to fuck our kits up. They are going to, like Umbro has, use City as a flagship for both design and fabric styles. In fact I'd suggest the Umbro team working the City account will simply move to Nike and have to swap their badges. Theyll get some new glory hunting American cunts in there but the core team will still be focused on our shit.

Junior starts at 6. They don't do them for infants (2-6).

Still wasn't a Maltese Cross, the Maltese Cross does not have curved lines, Iron Cross did though.

If you think that's a Maltese Cross from our original shirt, you should maybe check yours.

you're half right Slim, it's not a Maltese cross, but it is what Gorton wore

Slim is right, that amateur designer who did the mock up black kit used an Iron Cross.

This is the Gorton cross (or at least a very similar one):

Image

It's not an Iron Cross & (technically) not a Maltese cross either.

I think the whole kit is £35. I guess it depends how small the kid is though.

fucking oddly, we agree....though i think i *like* home a little bit more than you, and hate the change strip just a touch more than you do as well.

what is this City historical "purple" thingy about? when did it start? it seems like a very "80s" thing to do, and not in a good way, in like a "Thomas Dolby" kind of way...we'll be the Pirate Twins again, etc

cheers
