During everyone's career, they will go through motivation and stagnation phases. Motivated employees are out there working hard to make it happen everyday. But, it is difficult for anyone to be motivated in their career all the time. And I think once an employee has the security of a long contract the desire to win things, fades.Motivation is fueled by the desire to do well and the personal satisfaction of a job well-done. Motivated employees help the organization grow and succeed. However, motivation may wane over time if working conditions change or if the employee gets bored, or are put in the position that they are secure.
So after a couple of years, managers are either crap for having not won anything, or complacent from having won something, and should either be prepared to sign a rolling contract or be sacked on the spot.
You seem to have got it right there or are you being ironic and sarcastic.
Thanks for expaining to everyone who read it.
