Edin out the door?

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

You will eat your words as we are a bulb built on tradition were in it for the long haul your success ( If you get any more ) will be short lived financial fair play and to be honest there's too many egos at your club you have tevez who doesn't even want to play for you anymore, balotelli who in a word is a cunt , Adebaupr fell out as did Bellamy .

Clichy, van persie, nasri, fabregas, flamini all wanted didn't/ don't want to play for your club.

It's because some fuckwit got it into his head that arsenal football club should become an ideal business model and not a club that wins trophies. This has now passed on to all the angry little fans who think it's an achievement to rob the best young players from lesser clubs and sell them at their peak.

Football is about winning you bitter knob. We are winners. Our football last season was beautiful, record breaking football and you tried to play like us but ended up wayyyy waaaay behind us.

Conratulations on winning one nil when we hit rock bottom. It was probably the realisation that we had just been beaten by a second rate team that spurred us on to overhaul an 8 point gap with 5 games to go and be crowned champions of england.

It was such a beautiful season. Shame you were too caught up in your battle with spurs to pay attention to what has been going on above you.

Hopefully you will return to what you once were for a couple of seasons, but I think it's highly unlikely because Arsenal FC is merely a stepping stone for good young players who want to reach the top.

The players are happy to do it because they eventually reach the top.
The top teams like city are happy to have them because we can win more trophies.
And Arsenal are happy because their profit and loss sheets look lovely.

Fair enough?

Whatever you guys say . In English btw the iPhone is terrible . An if I was foreign so what ? Your making it out to be an issue . . The fact is not one player in your current squad would come to city if here wasn't money ? Why would they ? You had no direction ? No ambition ? No promise of premier league survival , you were nothing ! The only exception are Richards and hart . Richards in fact is the only level headed guy in that squad , look at balotelli ! What a tool ! He emulates Manchester city ! Driven by money .

All your best players wanted to leave. Most at their fucking PEAK!!

Your captain has just stated that your club lacks ambition. Your captain. After your last captain left. After the captain before that left.

Stop fucking whinging to the champions because your not good anymore.

It looks pathetic.

So this is all about the fact that we were shit, and now we're good, and that you were good and are now a bit shit. How dare anyone break into your exclusive little top four champions league gravy train club. You're as bad as that lot at old trafford, whinging about all that money you've earned, when in fact it was just made when you were part of a cartel that excuded everyone else.

Players go to city for a big pay day fact so fuck off and smell the coffee and accept you are only where u are through money , look at last season champions league campaign you couldn't get out the group ? And u say your gonna be around for a while haha . Try qualifying for the competition 15 times in a row u know I have a point so quit your shit arguments

I think we did win it at Old Trafford.

Seem to remember it was 6-1.

At least your lot tried to give their new found mates a helping hand, by turning up with a bunch of kids and getting stuffed.

No I mean literally winning the tile at old Trafford you dunce. you win united 6 1 early in the season it didn't decide the title . United are far more exciting I watch they use the wings and move the ball quicker

If we hadn't won at Old Trafford we wouldn't have won the league. Nice to see that you like their playing style, I think that you may be a closet tourist.

Ha ha ha ha. Nothing (even your win at Anfield in 89) compares to how we won it.,. and try winning 6-1 at Old Trafford sweet cheeks x. Those losses at Swansea and Everton just added to the drama. It doesn't matter what shit you or any other fan spout, nothing will ever take the shine away from that day, the 2011-12 season or the takeover.

We deserved every bit of this success and you couldn't have written or dreamt of a better manner in which to won the title. You boys have had more than your fair share of success over the years, now it's our time. Start getting used to it.

Erm...you're doing exactly that about Arsenal are you not???

We like reasoned debate on here and have fans from many clubs join our discussions. However, you're coming across as really bitter.

I don't think anyone on here has said Arsenal are shit, but the reality is now that we are better than you. That is a fact, and is likely to be a fact for the foreseeable future. If you don't like that, fair enough, but if you keep repeating your point then you just come across as a very sad man.

Leon is very jealous of Manchester City. We all know it, he knows it & hates the fact that we all know it & is desperate to try & save face, but nothing he says will make any difference. It's very funny.

When Arsenal won their first Premier League, Leon was probably supporting Manchester Utd but decided to switch. He posts just like a rag would. Perhaps he can go on a rag forum & discuss the past with them. It's what they have to cling onto & tell themselves everything will be alright. City will go away if they keep their little heads under the bedclothes. Mummy & Daddy told them, so it must be true..

I think you have got pff on the wrong foot and taken some abuse because of it. If you take the time to read through this board, you will find that we are not all like "we are the best no one can match us"

The fact is that in response to your posts, it has been pointed out that Arsenal cannot match us currently, which I think is a fair point as you are in no position to challenge for the title because of your clubs transfer policy.

At the end of the day, Had arsenal kept
1. Adebayor (whom most gooners disliked even before he left the club)
2. Toure, who is no more than a bit part player for us
3. Clichy, who you willingly sold, feeling you had a better player in reserve
4. Nasri, who you could have kept, but cashed in before his contract ran down
5. Fabregas, see Nasri above

Then all things being equal, in combination with the squad you had last year, you could have challenged for the league last season, but chose to cash in on Nasri and Fabregas instead. If you are happy to steal 16/17 year olds from other clubs (i assume they join arsenal as they have been lifelong supporters, money cant possibly come into it), then its a case of live by the sword, die by the sword when someone with more muscle comes along and pinches them off you.

I would also echo Ted's point regarding money. The cartel at the top of the premier league was completely unbreakable without some form of external investment from someone with deep pockets. With only two clubs ever having won the premier league without having had massive external capital injections, would you have our league go the way of Spain or heaven forbid the Spl, where there is virtually no competition to speak of because pf the financial inequalities?

Ultimately, if you ask any football fan whether they would prefer the same 4 teams challenging for the top 4 spots, or genuine competition with 7, i am pretty sure which one anybody with a balanced view would say makes for a better competition.

We may have spent a lot of money, but it was only to catch up, and with our noses in the champions league trough in the years to come the club will eventually boost income enouh, and reduce expenditure to a level of equilibrium and who knows, maybe even a profit. It may take a long time, but the only way for any club in the PL to grow quickly was to get in the CL, which unfortunately, because of the likes of David Dein, Rick Parry and David Gill, has been a closed shop for far too long as to be healthy for the english game
