read the words i wrote...i'm not even talking about points, although we clearly could have hauled in more.

the comments i made were about buying players since Cookie fired himself.

Something reasonable done in January and we would have walked the league by 10 pts. We did basically nothing and just squeaked it.

Ronk gets it. You should PM him and ask for some advice.

Look, if we land De Rossi, an experienced CB as cover, and some pacy winger i've never heard of next week and i'll shut the fuck up about the topic...but until then i'm allowed to have a gripe.

cheers

I read what you wrote, maybe you should read it too? You said we should have finished 10pts clear. We got the maximum already against the runners up so that means ten more points than we got = 99 points. Ludicrous crap wrapped up in astonishing arrogance that City fans really should not be capable of yet. Very disappointed in you TBH as you are usually so sensible.

he's just got the jitters because we haven't signed anyone yet. He'll calm down once we do.

Some people just can't see long term, it's not really his fault.

how so?

i believe these two things, and i believe that intelligent, sensible posters will agree with me:

1) with more reinforcements in Jan we'd have won the league by maybe 6 possibly 10 pts.
2) FFP will end up being completely shenanigans that'll never hold water or prove itself out over time, despite having a "rulebook."

How those feelings are raglike, i have no idea.

I think we could have had ten more points, but not for the same reasons as the bald one. A lot more things went against us as opposed to for us with regards to decisions and suspensions.

Signings can hinder you, particularly in Jan.

I actually agree with a blend of what cloudfuck and ronaninho said in all honesty.

I think we should have got our balls out and really gone for it in January and got maybe De Rossi and/or some decent pacey midfielder

If we'd done that and not been arsefucked by some appalling refereeing shit (I have watched the Champions DVD a few times and the amount of red cards we had alone last season was total fucking bullshit) we would have not lost out 8 point lead and would have added some more points. I'm pretty sure of it.

That's not raglike....it's realistic. It doesn't matter I guess but we were not playing on a level playing field last season. Not even remotely

eggsackly my point my friend....

a little fucking juice in the tank and we'd have fucking strolled it and smashed those cunts to bits.

Granted, i liked the ending even better as it turned out, however...the main thesis, which no fucler wants to touch is...

Marwood -- dead fucking weight or about to get his cock out?

I've seen nothing from the cunt since Cookie *nearly* emailed him about being a hard case with Ned's mum. FACT.

cheers

When did we have an eight point lead? As far as I can recall the biggest lead we had was 5 points?

As for Marwood, how would anyone not involved on the inside at the club know whether Marwood is good or bad at his job? Khaldoon seems to have a lot of faith in him.

you're right, it was 5 points but in all honesty that lead ought to have been 8 or even 11 points as we'd been fucked by some of those dismissals, penalties, suspensions.

Re Marwood; OK certain other clubs appear to have lined up deals and essentially concluded them way in advance of the window opening when these deals might be consummated. United with Powell, Chelsea a few times of late.

Marwoods team got caught with their pants down re Hazard in allowing the agent to fuck about re fees and not locking Hazard down with a commitment and getting his Mr 15% in line to facilitate that. And it seems likely that they've almost or have done the same currently or previously.

Do the fucking deal early....that's what Mancini wants and understandably so. If we had gone in hard with Arsenal for RvP a month ago it would be done now....and we'd then have plenty of time to unload (say) Dzeko.

As much as I often like Your post, Mate, the above is possibly the weirdest thing I read by You. no harm intended.
Do You need to have a Big brother's set of cameras to know that if a male can't get pregnant his missus for 2 years is impotent?
Since the Club have established as a top destination for top players, Marwood has simply missed all target given, let alone the very disputable timing of the few purchases acheived (like Nasri, just to say). You can rest assured that if it wasnt for the Mancini intervention Yaya and Dave would still have to know where Albert sq. is located.
As I ve been told in my countless rants, his proper job should be to sit alongside Hansen and Lawro talking shite towards those who are capable to run football. or to make the story short, as per Ant, he is just an amateur.
You are absolutely right in pointing out that Khaldoon seem to back him: whether it is just a team building politeness or actulal respect is what I'm puzzling about since long, also considering the "administration" of the Accademy ranks (Gai Aussulin springs to mind).

aside and off topic: special thanks to Ronan for pointing out that our very own top Merchant ain't a rag rather than jst a Yankie... ;)

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

In Roger Ailes/Donnie Drumpf's words: "don't know it for a fact, but many people say so..."
there must be some truth, then!

Fair enough mate, it's all opinions. I'm not going to dispute on behalf of Marwood because I have no evidence to back anything up. The one thing I will say is that Cook was still here when Nasri signed, so does he share any of the responsibility in the disputable timing of the purchase?

Khaldoon is in charge.

Read his comments about not being 'rich idiots' or words to that effect.

Marwood is the whipping boy for club policy, which is that we were willing to let players and agents take the piss when we needed to but no more. We no longer need to & it's not going to happen anymore.

That is not Marwood, however much you may prefer it to be; it's City policy. Argue with the Sheikh or Khaldoon if you don't like it; not his monkey.

I think we are both well aware who is in fucking charge.

I fully agree with the "we won't be taken for a ride" policy re players and agents fees and demands. BUT that does not mean we need to act like leaden footed fools in the market either.

I agree fully with the remit handed down by the owner and Khaldoon but the execution fucking stinks.

I've worked on enough large corporate transactions to see that Marwood is an amateur...you can smell it a mile off. I would rather the owner replace him with a proper deal execution professional teamed with a director of football or similar
