You could definitely make a case for him but Yaya was awesome in the first half and maybe did enough.

Really pleased at what I saw of Biton.We might have a player there.

No, he's still on trial. The biggest sticking point in a deal for him will be his work permit but you never know, the Champions may have a bit of sway when it comes to things like this.

Me too, I like him. Not sure on Razak but still early doors for him.

Savic didn't look too bad either, couple of nearly fuck up moments but overall looking better than QPR away last season.

Yaya was good on the ball, was not very mobile in making space and looking to receive the pass, something he is usually flawless at.

If you looked at that game, having never seen either side play, you would think Biton would walk into Arsenal's team ahead of most of them, Yaya was the world's greatest player & Tevez was a class above Aguero.

I've said on here that I think Tevez could evolve, not just into homo sapiens but into a midfield player. Scholes was once a striker & was nowhere near Tevez' quality. Imo, Tevez could be just as good in midfield as Scholes has been, slightly different role, but equal or better quality.

If the Tevez we are seeing now is someone proving a point before he leaves, then fair enough. If however he has decided he wants to be a footballer & City is the place he wants to play, he could go on for years imo.

It's easy to get down when you see United sign Kagawa, Chelsea sign Oscar, Hazard etc...but then you realise how easy it is to forget too that our players are fucking good.

Yeah these teams are improving, but so are we. I think we could click even better next season. Tevez, if you excuse the tired cliche, IS like a new signing. I'd happily take on Biton and give game time to Razak and Rekik every now and then. Put it this way, Rekik wouldn't dawdle anymore than the new Duncan fucking Edwards would over at Old Trafford. Razak certainly would put in more of a shift than fat boy Anderson. For ten/fifteen minutes here and there they are worth a punt, and if we can make two good signings then we'll be in a very good place.

finally managed to watch the recording of it and I'd like to back Beefy on this quote of the thread, imo.
Not the first time I ve been impressed by Abdi potential, but he looked cool composed and he TRULY excited myself when (at about mid of 1st half) Song clashed on him and bouced back as he was a bag. he does not end like that many times when tempting a tackle.
good effort by Biton too, even if he appears to be just a DM who hardly might evolve into a more complete midfielder: too early to say, tho.
Dunno what was the level of game fitness of the Feeders but it also seemed to me that Kolarov improved positioning/defensive wise.
sad for the heavy rain: I would have loved to see Suarez in the middle of the action: hope to see more of him from today's game recording.

side note: why the hell experiments with Rekik at CB had not been carried on, after the first game? I'd like to see him tested vs. tougher oppositions, as I truly have more confidence on him rather than on Savic. Mancini out, for that.

I watched it again earlier and the Thai commentators seemed to think Arsenal were winning too. Definitely saw two blue goals though and none in reply...

Is anyone wondering why the 2nd goal wasn't offside? Not even the commentators picked this up, but it was the Arsenal defender who passed it to Yaya. Ironically in the 2nd half the male linesman got an offside call wrong. I think young Sian Massey should teach him where he went wrong.
