ROBIN VAN PERSIE WAIT ANGERS ROBERTO MANCINI

ROBERTO MANCINI has demanded Manchester City’s hierarchy pull out all the stops to sign Robin van Persie.
On the eve of City’s friendly here against Arsenal, Mancini aired his frustration at the club’s failure to secure Van Persie and other transfer targets with less than a month to go before they launch their Premier League title defence.
Mancini made a reference to City’s football administrator Brian Marwood when asked for an update on Van Persie, who is also wanted by Manchester United and Juventus.
“For this question, speak to the man in charge,” he said.
“I am not in charge of this. We have a man [Marwood] who works for this and we hope that they can do a good job. It is important to get new players quickly because, after what we did last year, it is important we continue to win.

After yesterday's mix up, we wish to aplogise and we took notice of your hour & a half boycott (again!)

“It’s a compliment that the club feels so highly about me," says the defender, who was sounded out by Real Madrid and Barcelona
Vincent Kompany has signed a record-breaking £60m deal to stay with Manchester City for the next six years.
The £200,000-a-week contract, the largest in English football, will net City’s title-winning skipper £10m a year.
Kompany was sounded out by Real Madrid and Barcelona after his heroics last season, but the Belgium international said he was committed to City.
Kompany, 26, added: “It’s a compliment that the club feels so highly about me.
“My family is happy here and there are so many more trophies to win at this club.”
And Mancini said: “We are very happy for Vinnie, he is an important player and has signed a new contract, so can be captain for the next six years.
'We are very happy for Vinnie': Man City boss Roberto Mancini is pleased to have tied up his skipper to a long term deal
“We are happy that he will be with us in the future.
“It is my opinion that he is one of the best in the world."
Mancini was speaking in China on the Manchester City tour of the Far East where he met with move star Jackie Chan .

Bayern Munich rule out bid for Manchester City's Nigel de Jong
Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has rejected reports linking his club with Manchester City midfielder Nigel de Jong.

..Commenting on the speculation, Rummenigge said: ‘We know that De Jong’s agent offers him everywhere.
'But it is not true to say there is interest from FC Bayern.’
The Holland international has a year left to run on his City contract having previously played for German side Hamburg.
He joined City in 2009 but saw his appearances limited last season as the club secured their first league title in 44 years.
The combative midfielder has already said he wants to stay at the Etihad stadium for years to come, and feels settled in Manchester.
'My contract runs for another year, so I'm in a pretty good position,' he told Dutch magazine NUsport.
'I want to stay. I've been at the club for three years and I'm feeling really well.
'I have won the FA Cup and the league title, which are the biggest trophies in England.'

Milan and Madrid to go head-to-head for Man City star By talkB*l**x |
AC Milan are weighing up a move for Manchester City defender Micah Richards.
The Italian giants are set to go head-to-head with Real Madrid for the 24-year-old defender, who can play ar right-back or in the centre of defence.
Milan were impressed with Richards during City’s Premier League winning campaign last season and have earmarked the England defender as a possible replacement for Thiago Silva, who joined big spending Paris St Germain recently.
But they will face competition from Real Madrid, whose boss Jose Mourinho tried to sign Richards during his time at Chelsea, and he will be alerted to the Italian club's interest.
Mancini, though, will be loathe to lose one of the few players who have come through the ranks at the Etihad in recent years and established themselves as a first-team regular

Arsenal vs Manchester City match on July 27 set to be more than a club friendly
Friday’s match between Arsenal and Manchester City highlights yet another day filled with football action this summer.
Arsenal vs Manchester City will be more than "just" a friendly on July 27.
Arsenal vs Manchester City is the fixture that virtually ended the Citizens’ English Premier League hopes last season. Arteta’s sublime long range strike and Mario Balotelli's avoidable sending off inflicted agony on Roberto Mancini and his men. At the top of the table, the Red Devils of Manchester United looked set to run away with the 2011/12 EPL title.
However, destiny saw the Citizens make a remarkable comeback to be crowned English champions. Captain Vincent Kompany played a vital role for Manchester City en route to glory.
The Belgian defender recently put pen to paper for a six-year contract. Meanwhile, business on the transfer market continues for Manchester City like for Arsenal.
The Gunners are looking to build a strong squad ahead of the new football season. The club signed Lucas Podolski and Olivier Giroud earlier this summer but the likely departure of Robin van Persie means Arsene Wenger must once again prove his team can compete against the best in Europe.
The Frenchman will be looking to gun down English Premier League titleholders Manchester City on Friday. Although it is only a friendly, the outcome of this match will surely have a huge impact on both side’s momentum and squad decisions.

I see Nasri got a 3 match ban from the FFF. Also, someone got a warning for not shaking the coaches hand when he walked off.
