From what I can gather he is doing fucl all, has been doing fucl all for years and will continue to do fucl all.
Meanwhile, he is being paid more in a week than most of us will get in a year.

He keeps appearing on NewsNow but when I click on the news item, turns out its that American runner!! So u have no idea what he's up to, other than running his contract down as it'll be up at the end of this season - mind might we need him for the 'quota' ;)
*waits for 230 page thread on how we'll meet our quota & who qualifies or not*

Didn't he get tanked the other month and drove his car in to a BMW?
No one will buy him and I think this is the final year of his contract.
Expect to see us release him when his contract finally does run out and him to appear in the papers a couple of days later saying it was all City's fault and they never looked after him.

Does it really mather? He managed to gather a shitload of money by doing nothing to let him rest for the rest of his life.
Hargreaves, Owen and Dyer and even Bridge had taught him well.

Not being funny but if i had the opportunity I'd do exactly the same, so would you lot.
But wasted talent defiantly, looked a very good player at one point.

Yes I would. And I agree with the underlined bit but apparently you are not allowed to say that round here.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

The opportunity to do what? Earn a crust as a professional footballer or just piss your life down the drain?
He had a good game against Derby, I think it was, once.

Its funny how over the years weve gone from speaking well of him and his potential to using him as point of ridicule. Well.. might aswell pay him for something I guess.

Could have been a cracking player. No doubt in my mind about that.
Such a shame his head didn't match his talent.

He has two more seasons on his deal btw.
He will be broke by the time he's 30 if not sooner.
He will be managing nightclubs or selling cars by then I believe. Doubt he would excel at either.
Sad story but every human is challenged to live up to their potential and I'm sure many on this forum will fail to do so this very day in fact.

I wonder how much money he has made from football even though he's hardly been in a position to be called a footballer?

On that note I could have done with 100 Millie of our little blue friend last night!
You're right.

If I was him I would be staying put and cashing those cheques. A reported 40k a year.
If he leaves City he is unlikely to get a full time deal and will be pay as you play. He would at best get a League 1 club and earn maybe 2-3k a week. He would end up earning less a year than he does a week at City.

That really brings it into perspective doesn't it. Lakey would have given anything to have the opportunities that Johnson has had. It takes the piss that he has thrown it all away.

Do you mean £40k a week? If so....fookin ell! Just out of interest I wonder if players' wages are paid out of insurance in cases of long term injury or if the club has to bear them. Insurance I guess.

He lives in Flixton. Saw him out jogging at half past three in the morning last week. He bought his mum and dad a nice house on a smart road and they never moved in. Its got weeds six foot high in the garden and I feel quite sorry for the neighbours. He can often be found pissed out of his mind in urmston on a Saturday afternoon, buying anyone and everyone drinks. Just looks a bit overweight, a bit sad and a bit desperate most of the time. He's always a sound bloke for a chat tho.
